"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am a hundred percent sure."

"Are you absolutely sure that this is the only way?''

"How many times do I have to say I am sure in order for you to believe me Mrs. Jang?!!''

"Watch the way you talk to me young man."

"I am sorry ma'am but the surgery is the only way since every other option has failed."

The older woman sighed turning to look at her son, who was consumed by the marvel figurines she had to buy him in order to coax him to the doctor's cabin.

"But you say there is 25% chance of failure. It's too dangerous. What if he never wakes up?'' She questioned the doctor, though young he was good at what he did and was one of the best doctors in the country.

"Well, there is a 75% chance of success too. But I will try my best too.''

''There's absolutely no other way?'' The woman infront of him looked calm but he could see the desperation of a mother in her eyes. Doctor Samuels suddenly felt sympathy for the mother who was suffering more than the patient himself. She was supposed to stay strong and calm, it was expected of her. As a business woman she could never show what her weaknesses were.

"As I have told you before, as the result of suppressed anger, anxiety and fear, Lucas has stopped aging mentally, he is still a 16 year old boy waiting for someone to rescue him, and while waiting he has become rebellious. All the pranks he pulls or all the things he has done or will do is to gain attention which is normal for any affection deprived child. He still dreams of that night and won't open up or talk about it no matter how much we pester him." He watched as her eyes misted remembering the past.

"In cases like these, patients require a sense of security. Usually from family and friends they are close to, but here in Lucas' case, as you have told me, he neither has siblings nor he has any friends. His relation with his father is too strained to even consider that and you were too busy to even pay attention to or spend time with your child."

Samuels' last words were harsh but he was a very blunt man and sometimes this trait of his got him in trouble. Like now, he could feel Mrs. Jang's glare piercing through him like a laser beam but there was nothing he could do about it now.

"You are doing it again and I do not appreciate the tone you are using right now." Dr. samuels shivered under her glare and clearing his throat he apologised.

"Forgive me ma'am but I am not exactly wrong."

"I know you are not wrong, just give me time to think this through."

Later that day, Luna had to stop by a hotel and attend a board meeting with her husband. Knowing not to bring Lucas to the conference room, she left him in the lounge with some of his favourite snacks.

Lucas was bored to death. The snacks were long gone and now there was nothing he could do to keep himself occupied. He hated places like these, here he could never play or walk around, worse was he could run into his dad, the thought gave him shivers.

He was about to order another round of snacks or pull his bodyguard's pants down, when a kid about five years old crashed into a woman spilling the milkshake he was holding on the pants of her-very expensive-suit, it was the same kind he had seen his mother wearing whenever she had something important to attend. She cherished those, he had seen her getting angry at the maid who accidently had ripped one of those, her face at that time still gives him 'the' bumps.

Soon after, a cleaning lady came running to the woman, apologising profusely. He was sure the cleaning lady was about to get an earful in front of everyone.

Lucas was pleasantly surprised when the woman just smiled, patted the little boy on the head and started walking away like nothing happened.

"Well this was new." As far as he knew rich people were rude. His mom, though nice to him, was very disrespectful towards the help and he sometimes felt bad for them, sure he annoyed and pranked them to hell, but nobody deserved his mother's wrath. And don't even get him started on his dad, he acted as if he was doing them a favour by allowing them to work in his hellhole.

He was suddenly very confused, why did she react different than what he was used to. He hated when anything that was out of usual happened, maybe it was because anything out of usual was always bad. Moreover, nobody had ever treated him like that woman did to that child.

He saw her walking towards the elevator, near where he was standing. Without even thinking he started walking behind her and got on the elevator.

Getting off after her, he was about to follow her into the room when he saw that it was the conference room. But he was not about to give up.

Lucas waited for about two hours, then the doors opened but instead of the face he wanted to see, it was his parents. His mother, seeing him, became angry and anxious. Angry that he disobeyed her and anxious because her mentally ill son was weakness she couldn't allow people to see. His dad ignored him as usual.

"Oh my! Isn't that Lucas, honey?" The annoying voice of Mrs. Barret was not something she wanted to hear or deal with today.

They turned to face the couple who was known for being extremely obnoxious.

"It seems it is."

"I can't believe Mrs. Jang brought her 'less than smart' son, I don't think this is a place for men.....oh my bad children like him." She walked away laughing at her own joke, which wasn't funny.

"What are you doing here?" His mom was definitely angry.

"I want something."

"What is it?"

"Her."
