As i pace around my room, i suddenly hear the doors open slowly. I look to my side to see only one guard to escort me. Do they really trust me like that now? How foolish can they be? I thought to myself.

"Scp-k049 get over here slowly. No sudden movements. We are going to see your father" said the male voice, it sounded rather familiar...but i couldnt quite put my finger on it. I shrugged it off and proceeded with the guard towards my father's cell.

"Hey kitty" said the guard. "We're getting out of this soon, dont worry!" I look up to see Ezra had been disguised as a guard. That's why there was only one! "Aha, so how much time do i have before the clock goes down?" I asked Ezra "keep in mind i do wish to speak with my father about things, we will attempt to make it quick" He looked at me and nodded "30 minutes, then its operation lights out kitty" he said in a confident voice.

I nodded then stopped at my father's cell. Ezra had swipped the card of the dead guard to allow me to enter. At the corner of the room i could see my father working on a new test subject. "Ahem, father?" He jumped a little and turned around "Ah, my little bird~ its been a while! Come help me won't you?" I looked at him confused "What's up with all the nicknames?! First kitty now little bird?! Argh! Just call me Katherine please dad!" I said. "And i have other matters to speak about with you...about Ezra..."

SCP049 nodded then finished up his work and walked towards me. He offered a seat at his desk full of blood. "Well dad, is it possible that love may have saved Ezra? The way you did to mom before she had died?" He looked at me confused "I do not get where you are going with this kath..." i sighed in anger unable to understand Ezra. But what if Ezra really is dead and they're playing a joke on me? That couldn't be...i felt him hug me...

"Kath, are you okay? You seem distraught..." asked 049. "I-I-I'm fine, just stuck in thoughts...oh dad! I forgot to give you something!" I said as i handed the note that Ezra had given me. "We will need to know what that note says Scp049 and scpk0-" "OH BE quiet! I have a name you know." I said quickly cutting off the voice from the mic

"If you yell one more time that will be a month in solitary..." I just rolled my eyes in annoyance "not like I stay in solitary all the time...leave us be!" 049 looked down at the note and read it quickly, he shook his head and kneeled down beside me.

"Katherine my dear, if we left together it would be too risky..." 049 whispered. "B-but Dad I went all this time thinking you and mom abandoned me...I finally found you but..." tears started to trickle down my face as a lump formed in my throat. 049 shook his head and hugged me. "My dear, I know this is hard to take in...but please understand why I did what I did to keep you safe...to keep you from all this." He said as he held her shoulders.

The door to the empty cell opened as Ezra stepped in with 2 other guards. "Your time is up kath-i mean Scp-k049!" Yelled Ezra. I just stood there in disbelief, her mind starting to wander again. Ezra stepped over and put his hand gently on my shoulder snapping me back to reality. "Time to go..." Ezra said.

As we walked out of scp-049's cell, I looked back to my dad as he stared back at me, and gave me a slight nod...
