CRACK

"Anddd Evalyn Tisak hits it straight out of the park! That ball is flying, Chris, if that's not a homerun then nothing is"

"Yes, I'd say your right about that John; even Evalyn seems to think so, as she remains still at her post, not even going for a run! But, it's a good thing she didn't, because that is a homerun!"

The crowd surrounding the sunny stadium goes wild, just as a loud buzzer sounds.

"And that is all for this game folks, Evalyn Tisak our home team star scores us yet another Eagles win! What an excellent game John..."

The commentators continue to natter in the background as Evalyn waves once more to the crowd and exits the field. The buzzer is still going as she walks back to her changing room, and just as she arrives back;

Evalyn wakes up. She sits up, smacks her alarm clock off and starts rubbing her tired eyes. The scent of burning bacon followed by the smoke detector pulls her out of bed and to the kitchen. Leaning against the door frame, Evalyn chuckles as she watches her best friend try and put a fry pan full of charcoaled bacon in the oven.

"What did I tell you about cooking, Alyra?" Evalyn pulls the fry pan out of Alyra grasp and switches the oven off. The bacon goes straight to the bin. "And will you turn that blasted smoke alarm off?"

Alyra rolls her eyes, that are especially blue this morning, and jumps up, swiping at the fire alarm to get it to shut up. "Well, I was HUNGRY, and the last time I woke you up in the middle of a baseball fantasy dream, you hit me with your bat." Evalyn walked over the bin and flicked it up, before being pounced by Alyra who stole one of the slightly-less charred pieces of bacon then sitting on the bench. Evalyn glared at her.

"And you crash tackled me to the ground and put me in a headlock. Besides, you could have just gone hunting. Or gone to see Dario. He was probably up at 4 this morning; I heard there was a meteor shower."

Alyra crunched at her bacon, pulled a disgusted face and threw it at the bin.

"I can't hunt this week, they put baits out for the feral cats, remember? And Dario went to Lue point to see the shower. He left a note on his door reading 'Alyra-I'm at Lue point for the meteor shower. If you break into my house and steal my food, I will strangle you.'" She mockedj the note sarcastically, picked up an apple and chomping through it. She was silent for a moment, then hurriedly exclaimed "I need to breathe, I'm going for a walk."

Evalyn nodded, not looking up for the cereal she had begun to pour. "Stay away from baits" but Alyra was already out the door.
