A/n: Y/n helps Katie with her stuff

Y/n's Pov:

The night past to quickly for my liking and before I knew it my alarm was going off and I had to get ready for the day, today the classes I had World Law, Politics, and justice, then I had intro to political science course three, and then another economics class. I arrived early to the class of course and sat outside waiting for Clark as we had Economics together but he was running late of course so I just sat peacefully, I was just about to pull out "forever amber" a book I had begun to read when I saw Katie. Today she wore her hair down, she had on black dress pants a beautiful dark blue blouse with a matching overcoat; she had many books in her hands and seemed to be struggling to open the door to the building, I look around for Clark but didn't see him so I instantly stood up and walked over to her.

Y/n: "Goodmorning Ms.McGrath, can I help you with that?" she says softly, Katie ceased her struggling and looked at Y/n.

Ka: "Oh good morning Y/n, yeah I would love some help" I took the books gently while she opened the door once inside Katie took half and we walked down the hall in silence, once in the classroom we placed the books on the desk in front of a large empty bookcase. I checked my watch I still had twenty minutes till class and I knew Clark wouldn't mind so I began to place the books on the shelves.

Ka: "Oh Y/n you don't have to do that, I was going to do it later," she said in an airy tone

Y/n: "Is it okay if I help I still have time before class and Clark still hasn't shown" she smiles thankfully and walked over to me, she took a stack of books and we being lining the shelves.

I scanned the spines of the books, most were historical fiction I smiled and ran my finger over the spin of "all the light we cannot see" by Anthony Doerr and smiled, she watched me curiously as we finished placing the books on the shelves. Most of the books were historical fiction mixed in with some romance but not the cheesy type the deep thinking type which I enjoyed as well but some of these books were new to me.

Ka: "Do you like historical fiction? it's my favorite genre as you can tell" she laughs softly causing me to smile.

Y/n: "Yeah, I'm in the middle of "Forever Amber" by"

Ka: "Kathleen Winsor, yeah it's a good book, if you like her you would really like "The King's General" is similar to "Forever Amber" or "Middlesex" that's a good book as well," she said happily and pulls out two of the books we had just slipped into the shelf, her green eyes lit up as she began to excitedly explain the plot of Middlesex it's obvious she preferred it over the other but she still explained each with great detail, I watched with intrigue as she finished and handed me the books.

Y/n: "Thanks!" I said happily, she looked at me playfully

Ka: "You don't talk much do you?" I blush and look away from her, she gave a small laugh and placed a hand on my arm.

Ka: "That's okay, you don't have to" I was going to say something bell rang

Y/n: "I have to go, by Ms.McGrath thanks for the books," I said raising the book in the air before quickly leaving her class still with a slight blush. I caught Clark in the hall and walked with him the rest of the way to class.

Cl: "Hey, where were you this morning? I waited at our spot?" he askes 

Y/n: "Oh I was helping Ms.McGrath and we started talking about books and I guess we lost track of time"

Cl: "I guess so" Clark adds with a cheeky smile

Y/n: "What's that suppose to mean!?" I shout at him, he laughed and throws an arm around me

Cl: "Oh nothing, come on we're going to be late," he said and we picked up our pace till we reach the classroom and enter just before the professor.
