A/n: time jump 1 month (Please forgive the awkward start)

No One's Pov:

It had been a month and Katie had finally settled into her new job and the grove of things including reconnecting with her best friend Melissa. The two women had texted back and forth but wanted to catch up in person so they planes to meet for lunch at a cafe which is where they sat now, Katie sipping a glass of water while Melissa ordered for them. The server took their orders and scurried off leaving the two women alone.

Me: "So, hows the job?" she asked cheerfully, Katie set down her glass and smiled

Ka: "Honestly it's interesting"

Me:" a good interesting or bad?"

Ka: "Well don't get me wrong, I love the job but it's just so different than I thought but it's a good different" Katie added, the waitress arrived with their food and set the two plates in front of them, and rushed off once more.

Me: "So, how's my sister in class," Melissa asked

Ka: "Mell, you know I'm not supposed to talk about my student's situations to outsiders" Katie added with a quirked brow.

Me: "Is she in a situation?" Melissa added with concern, Y/n was the youngest and the most naive, and Melissa would be lying if she said she didn't worry about her sister 24-7 how she was doing, what she was doing, and if she was doing anything at all. Katie sighed and looked to her best friend she could tell by the glint of worry in her blue eyes she wouldn't be able to move on to something out so she set down her fork and placed her hands on the table.

Ka:" there might be" Melissa nodded for Katie to continue

Ka: "It's just, she seemed to be having a hard time; she rarely turns in her work, and when she does they are either half-finished or the answers are incorrect."

Me: "What?, I mean I know she has struggled in the past with that history class but not turning in her work, that's not like her".

Ka: "I'm not done, if she doesn't turn around her grades soon I'm afraid she'll fail my class and her degree will suffer." Melissa leaned back in her chair and she pinched the bridge of her nose.

Me: "She's not usually like this Katie, she is very smart" Katie smiled

Ka: "I know she is, one of her classes was canceled the other day so she came by my class and we had an amazing conversation about historical fiction, she knows what she's talking about when it comes to those. I'm not giving up on her Melissa, I'm going to offer my help; i heard stories about the last professor and how awful the man was and how the students suffer t his substandard teaching methods and I want to help."

Me: "You would do that?" Katie laughed lightly

Ka: "Yeah; I'm a teacher, helping my students is what i do" Katie picked up her fork and knife with a smile and began to eat her food Melissa smiled and began to eat as well.

All though she was smiling, she was disappointed in her little sister after all they sent her here to get her degree and make a life for herself. But by doing this she was being destructive she was being childish and in order for her to succeed it looked like her little sister need a firm reminder of why she was here. The two finished lunch and talk for two more hours before paying and leaving the cafe, Katie went home while Melissa decided to pay her little sister a visit.

It was late in the afternoon when she knocked on her sister's door the younger Benoist sister opened the door surprised to see her older sister standing in the doorway all though it wasn't unusual it was still strange.

Y/n: "Hey M, what's up what are you doing here?" Melissa walked into her sister's apartment with her arms crossed, Y/n was confused but she shrugged and closed the door behind the blonde; Melissa stood in the center of the small living room still with her arms crossed and her hip slightly jutted out.

Me: "I just finished having lunch with Katie"

Y/n: "Okay? that really doesn't answer my question"

Me: "I asked her about you, and she said you haven't been turning in your assignments" now Y/n crossed her arms.

Y/n: "Well that sounds like something my teacher shouldn't have discussed with you"

Me:" oh don't you do that Y/n, don't deflect I'm your sister I have a right to know"

Y/n:" So you came here to yell at me?" Y/n added brattaly turning her back to her sister.

Me:" do you know how much this place costs?" Y/n snarled and turned back to Melissa

Y/n:" Do you think I'm doing this on purpose Melissa, that I am failing to- to fuck you and mom over, no! I am trying my best"

Me: "Well it's not good enough, you need to figure out what the hell you are going to do" Melissa left with a huff, as soon as her sister was gone Y/n threw a pillow at the door with an angry shout.

Tomorrow Y/n had Katie's class and she needed to speak with her teacher, she needed to talk to Katie.
