" So, how was your day at school?" Teegan's mum asked as she walked through the door. Lucy was unboxing some items that were needed to do daily events.
" Um, it was good." Teegan blushes a bit at the memory Louis. The staring in the hallway, him walking her to class and the invitation to the party.
" Did you met a boy?" Lucy asked.
" Why?" She felt her ears go hot at her fast answer, giving her away immediately.
" Who is it?" Lucy asked, she stopped taking stuff out of the box, sitting on a chair that was next to the small card table since their table hadn't come in yet.
" Mum!" Teegan muttered.
" Come on! You've been here a day, already got a boy's attention and your not telling me anything?" Lucy whined.
" His name is Louis. He and his friends sat with me at lunch and they seemed nice. They actually invited me to their gig they play at." Teegan used a pair of scissors to cut the tape from a box, seeing it was a box of her clothes she went to her room in the far corner of the flat.
" Well," Lucy followed her to her room, sitting on the air mattress on the floor since they have also yet to put their mattresses and bed frames together, " When is it?"
" Tonight. I said that I'll ask you but I had to unpack." Teegan put one of her jumpers on a hanger, then walked to the closet.
" The boxes will be here tomorrow." Lucy pushed her head forward, extending her neck trying to make a point.
" But, I just want to stay in tonight. I don't have anything to wear and I want to unpack." Teegan whined. She honestly had idea why she was saying this, she actually wanted to go just a bit.
" The boxes will be here tomorrow. Do you know where it is?" Lucy asked.
" Um, yeah. Louis texted me the time and stuff." Teegan pulled her phone out of her pocket, looking at the recent text, " Seven-Thirty at Willie's, which is 2385 on Lafayette street."
" I think I can take you, or you can take the car yourself." Lucy pulls a shirt out of the box and folds it.
" Um, I can take myself." Teegan nods, as she puts a stack of folded shirts in her dresser.
" Okay, I'm going to make a snack, do you want anything, love?" Her mum got up, walking out of her room but stopped that the door.
" Oh, um, sure." Lucy left and Teegan sat on her bed. Then fell backwards. She didn't know what to do. She didn't want to get attached to anyone, seeing as she would probably leave before the year ended. The Joyce family didn't stay in one spot very long. Teegan didn't mind leaving and packing up every few months but it did get a bit lonely.
Teegan had only made one friend in her whole life. A boy named Zach in first grade. That was the only time they stayed for more than a year. Teegan and Zach were friends for two years. Then she moved away, and never saw him again. She just didn't want Louis to get to attached since she has learned long ago how to leave a school unnoticed.
Teegan groaned then started going through the box, she found a pair of jeans and a cropped white shirt with Jurassic Park on it. She pulled on a black jacket and walked out of her room. " Hey, mum?"
When her mum turned around, Teegan did a spin, " I like it!"
" Yeah, I thought it was cute and it was the first thing I found. What time is it?" Teegan decided to put her hair in a ponytail and got her black Taylor's.
" Yeah, it's quite cute and good for a party. Around seven." Lucy was about to say something else when her phone went off. She answered the phone, " Hello?"
