The 2 dumbasses along with the mastermind kept walking n searching for God knows how long. The whole metropolitan area has imprints of their footprints now.
"This is going to take forever." Haru mumbled loud enough for Kanbe to hear.
"And who's fault do u think it is??" Kanbe backfired with his usual blank expression not forgetting to add his smug look which never failed to irritate Haru.
"I don't think Yuki came this way. Hm...hey ojii-san I'm letting u guys go for today. Tomorrow, we can start right from the scratch." Nomura waved them goodbye and left.
Haru and Daisuke were left dumbfounded. An eerie silence surrounding them causing Daiharu's eye to twitch.
"HEUSC. What's going on?" Here it comes Daisuke sama's most reliable butler.
"Unable to answer."
"Huh. So Kanbe Daisuke, the millionaire detective,did u go bankrupt or something? Why can't your HEUSC answer now? Haru mocked as he raised his eyebrows.
Daisuke didn't respond.
"Oi don't u dare ignore me when I'm talking to -" Daisuke gripped Haru's hands roughly and pinned him against an alley wall, pressing his palm on his lips to shut him up completely.
"Shh. Listen carefully Katou. A cat's mewling somewhere." Daisuke stated more like whispered in Haru's left ear oblivious to their current position.
The vibration caused Haru to shiver slightly as his brain started malfunctioning.
"W-where??"
Too close. TOO CLOSE. DAISUKE KANBE YOU'RE TOO CLOSE !! WATCH YOUR HANDS YOU PERVERT!! - HARU internally screamed ripping off his lungs amusing the audience who were mere crows.
"K-kanbe you're too clos-"
Kanbe moved away, crouched down as if something very interesting has caught his attention. He looked through the bushes carefully, then finally got a firm grip on the kitty.
The white kitty purred feeling warm in Kanbe's arms.
"Aww she's too cute for this world. Oi Kanbe~ have a look .Please~ nyan!" Haru plays with her paws n fur as both the cat n Kanbe comply anyway. The cat feels way too comfy in Haru's arms n Kanbe's too engrossed in Haru's cute voice.
Can't be helped. Haru's irresistible.
Haru practically snatched her away from Kanbe's arms calling him a cold heartless billionaire to sticking his tongue out. Either way, Kanbe is a whipped man.
"Let's just go n hand it over to that kid." Daisuke suggested.
"Noooo. I-I mean it's already late. He must be tired. How about tomorrow morning?" Haru pleaded trying to swallow his excitement as much as possible.
"You're taking care of it yourself then." Kanbe approached too exhausted to fight anymore.
"And you're helping." Haru added.
"Nope."
"Yesssss!!!!"
"Geez stop yelling. I'll ask HEUSC to-"
"Oh for god's sake I don't need your money.UGH! We'll do this together. No more complaining!" Haru barked as they headed towards Haru's apartment. Poor Kanbe.
