Chapter 9: John's Birthday

Seraphina's POV:

John and I were back at school. It was okay being back and I was enjoying having my abilities back. Since John has been helping me train I managed to get my level to 9.2 and I was an 8.

"Did you hear Seraphina got her powers back?"
"Yeah we should be careful not to annoy her remember she's the queen"

I could hear people chatting but I didn't bother me. I was so happy with my powers. I was practically a god again. Compared to John however I'm a fly or something like that. I wonder what ability level he's at now. He must be over ten considering the difference between me and him is huge and I'm a 9.2 and he completely overpowers me.

John and had a spar because we were curious as to who was more powerful but he can overpower my time manipulation with his own and he can temporarily disable my ability although I think he avoids doing it as I've already been through it once.

At least if it happens again we can fix it. John said that in theory his ability shouldn't be effected by the needle that I got injected in me because he's able to passively move his aura back into its natural flow.

John said that he will tell me his level once he's finished his training. Apparently he's trying to reach a tier above God tier. I didn't even know that there was such a thing. I pushed my pink and yellow hair over my shoulder so that I could see and made my way to class. John was in the class so what we usually do is freeze time and then do all the work and then go to the roof.

I can hold time in place for about 5 minutes and John can do around 4 times that so it gives us about 25 minutes to do the work. I can get it done in ten. I enter class and immediately get greeted by Remi. Her slightly lighter pink hair flying around like in a movie. I almost laughed when I noticed it.

"Hey Sera good morning!" Remi smiled so wide that her eyes were squinted. I patted her on the head, "good morning Remi". I ignored everyone else as Remi was my only friend that was a girl. I didn't mind Elaine but she has gotten me and John into a lot of shit.

"Sera!" John waved his hand infront of my face. Guessing I zoned out. My voice went higher and I smiled everytime I spoke with John. "Hey John, are you okay" I said making the same face Remi did when I walked in. He laughed and patted my head. I got serious deja vu just then. We sat down together froze time and finished the work.

"Oops" I said completely forgetting that Remi wanted to freeze time with us and leave early. "We forgot about Remi John" I spoke going over to her and unfreezing her. "Oh hey guys did you finish the work?" Remi said completely confused as to why we were already done without her. "GUYS YOU FORGOT ME" Remi shouted. Thank god time was frozen.

We eventually finished the work, put it on the teachers desk and made our way to the roof. "No offence Remi but what made you wanna come to the roof, I thought you didn't care about that place?" John politely asked because he didn't wanna get zapped. Luckily she didn't take offence. "Oh well I just wanted to hang out with you guys for a bit cause Blyke and Isen have been getting on my nerves a bit" Remi sighed. I patted her head once again and told her it was fair enough.

We reached the roof and unfroze time. We all sat down against the wall. Remi was the shortest and John was the tallest. I sat in the middle. Remi was about 5'1 and I was 5'4. Meanwhile John toweres over us at around 6'2. He was a over a foot taller than Remi and I had to go on my tip toes to kiss him. It was annoying but at the same time it made me feel safe.

We hung out and laughed. Remi and I played rock paper scissors and the winner got to ride on John's shoulders to their next class. I unfortunately lost but I said next time we will do a rematch. Once lunch was over I grabbed my bags and kissed John goodbye. I had roof class for the rest of the day and John had a lesson with Vaughn.
