Riley helped Landon clean up dinner and said good night to his parents as they all went to bed. Riley laid there staring at the spot on the floor Melody had been sitting during the first part of the movie. He had a weird feeling. He grabbed his phone and went back through his text messages with his Sweets. Deep down he had a horrible feeling. He didn't want to think about it. He couldn’t even think about it. But too much fits together. But he could be just being crazy all he knew about Melody was she has red hair and blue eyes...and her name started with an M...and she had an older brother in college...who was overly protective...who was also home on break...SHIT!

The next morning Riley was first to wake up, thanks to no blinds in the living room windows. He slipped on his tennis shoes and went for a run. He didn’t get much sleep, between the small couch and his mind going crazy with questions. He needed to come up with a plan to prove one way or another if his Sweets was Landon’s little sister. UUHHH they just can't be the same person! He thought to himself.
When Riley finally made his way back to the house he was drenched in sweat. He went straight to the frig to get a bottle of water. He turned around when he heard someone coming down the stairs. It was her. He couldn’t help but stare. She was in shorts and a large University t-shirt on, her hair was loose and pulled to one side, and a serene look on her face. That was until she looked up and saw him staring at her.
"Good Morning sweetheart!"
"Good Morning."
She said it so softly he almost didn't hear her. She went straight to the coffee maker and he watched her get it started.
"Not a morning person I'm guessing."
She ignored him and went into the living and turned on the TV. Before he could join her Landon came down the stairs.
"You've already been for a run? You might want to clean up. Shower is down the hall upstairs."
Landon started searching the cabinets for food. Melody walks back in to pour a cup of coffee.
"Hey M&M, what are you up to these days?"
She leaned against the counter and blew on her coffee before taking a much needed sip.
"Just working. Not much to do around here with both you and Zoe gone. But I have something to tell you."
Landon stopped his food search and looked at her.
"What?"
"I have decided to go to the university and move into the dorms with Zoe in two week."
Landon picked her up in a big bear hug.
"Mel that's great news. We’ll get to hang out more and I'll be able to keep an eye on you better this way! You'll be able to go to more of my games too!"
Melody couldn't help but laugh and roll her eyes at her brother. Once he put her back down she took her almost spilt coffee back into the living room and laid down in front of the TV.
-------
Melody walked out to the garage and put her ear buds in. Her dad and brother had converted the garage into a small home gym years ago when Landon was in high school. She wasn’t big on working out but it helped her clear her head. After some stretching she jumped on the treadmill. She didn’t know who was more surprised when she looked up to see Landon’s friend walk into the garage. Once again she could feel his eyes scan over her. She was about to snap at him when she saw him shake his head and walk over to the weights. She couldn’t help but look at him. He was in gym shorts and a loose tank top with cuts down the side so you could still see his muscles. It took a minute before she realized he was talking to her. She looked away and pulled one ear bud out.
“Sorry did you say something?”
“I was just saying, I hope you don’t mind me being in here. Landon said I could use the gym whenever and I didn’t realize anyone would be in here.”
“You’re fine I was just leaving.”
Before she could leave he grabbed her arm.
“Wait, you don’t have to leave on my account. I don’t mind you watching me.”
She snapped her head up and looked at him. He was wearing a large smirk on his face. She was embarrassed and pissed he noticed and teased her about it. She glared and pulled her arm out of his grip. Without a word she walked back into the house. She could swear she heard him let out a laugh before the door closed all the way.
