Next morning
In Sumedh's bedroom

It was 10 o'clock in the morning when Sumedh woke up , it was quite unusual for his family , as he and Mrs Mudgalkar were the two people who wake up in 6 o'clock.

Sumedh's POV

Ahhh ! Why the hell is my head paining so much ?

Then he recalled the events of the previous night.

Sumedh's POV

It must be due to the alcohol , what's the time ?..... What ? It is 10 o'clock I so late , jaldi ready Hona padega.

After getting ready Sumedh came downstairs where everyone had already had their breakfast and were waiting for him. Elsewhere there was an angry Mrs Mudgalkar giving death glances at Preeti and then at Sumedh.
After he got down and sat for breakfast
Mrs Mudgalkar started speaking

Mrs Mudgalkar-"Ab mujhe sab sach sach batao Preeti ki kal Raat ko kya hua tha ?"

Preeti-"Thik hai to...."

And then she narrated all the events of the previous night

Mr Mudgalkar-"Thik hai Jo hua so hua , Sumedh be Jo Kia Woh dono baccho ko bachane me liye Kiya is liye iss Baar maaf Kar do inhe "

Sumedh-"I am sorry Aai dusri Baar drunk hoke Ghar Nahi aunga promise"

Mrs Mudgalkar -"Thik hai ab Khana kha le"

Mr Mudgalkar -"Aur Haan Abby aur Ron ko park mein le jaana khane ke baad"

Sumedh-"Ok"

Nobody spoke after that then later Sumedh had his breakfast then went to the park , then he suddenly saw Mallika across the road ,

Sumedh's POV

Iske baad Mallika ke sath baat Karni hogi kya pata Nashe ki halat mein kya Kuch Nahi Kaha Hoga usse aur Preeti ko

Sumedh-"Mallika suno"

Mallika-"Yeh yahan ?"

Mallika's POV

Yeh yahan kya Kar Raha hai ? Mera picha to Nahi Kar Raha ? Kya usse sab Kuch Yaad hai Jo ussne kal Kiya ? Kya Woh phirse mere sath badtameezi Karna Chahta hai ?

Sumedh-"Kahan kho gayi , mujhe tumse ek zaruri baat Karni thi "

and he started to come closer when suddenly Mallika said

Mallika-"Kya tum kal Raat ke bare mein bolna chahte ho "

Sumedh-"Haan "

Mallika's POV

Shayad isko sab Kuch Yaad as Gaya , phir SE USS Tarah ki koi badtameezi Karne wala hai kya ? Kya Preeti me kal sab Kuch Dekha tha ? Isse pehle yeh mujhe aur Kuch Kar paste main bhaav Kati hoon yahan SE

Then she started running across the main road and so did Sumedh , when suddenly they saw a car speedeeding towards Mallika , while she stood frozen out of fear , Sumedh ran towards her pushed her across the road , she fell down , and when she turned her face across the road , there was a Sumedh lying helplessly staring at her in a pool of blood , she was horrified and ran towards him , she also had got a few minor cuts across her leg but still...

Mallika-"Sumedh tum thik to ho ? Tumhe Kuch Nahi Hoga "

Sumedh-"Mujhe tumse ek ....."

Then he fell unconscious and seeing him at that state made her fear increase

Mallika-"Sumedh tumhe Kuch Nahi Hoga main abhi ambulance ko call laga rahi hoon"

After a few moments a ambulance came and took them to the hospital

In hospital

Nurse-"Mallika ki asp andar chaliye Aapka treatment main Kar deti hoon"

Mallika-"Nahi pehle Sumedh ko Dekho usko gehri chot aayi hai main baad mein jaungi"

Nurse-"Doctor unki treatment Kar rahe hai aur jab ho jayega tab sabse pehle aapko hi batayenge aap chaliye"

Mallika-"Ok"

Doctor-"Kya aap patient aur aapki family ko call Kar sakte hain ?"

Mallika-" Ji doctor"

Later Preeti and the other family members of Sumedh enter the hospital but there were none of her family members . Which made her a bit sad .

Preeti-"Mallika Kahan ho tum ? Kya Kiya Tumne mere Bhai ke sath Kyun uski yeh halat ki dusri baar ? Kya Mila tumhe yeh Karke ?" she was screaming in anger

Mallika-"Preeti suno to Maine treatment bhi to karwai na "

Preeti-"Kya Sumi aur sunne ko bacha hi kya yeh dusri Baar hai ki Tumhari wajhase Sumedh Ka yeh haal hua hai"

Mallika-"To main kya Karu Woh hiera picha Kar Raha tha aur Woh khud hi mujhe save Karne ke liye car ke niche as Gaya , Woh to main thi iss liye hospital mein leke as gayi warna agar koi aur hota to usse USS halat mein Chor ke Chala aata"

Preeti-"Bari meherbani ki Tumne Sumedh ko hospital lake air Uske bills bharke , agar aaj Sumedh Nahi hota na to tum yahan yeh sab bol Nahi pati , Khair tumhe kya pata hai asli insaniyat kya Hoti hai paisa hi sab Kuch Nahi hota , Sumedh me tumhari Jaan bachai aur tum usse hospital lake USS par meherbani Karna chahti ho , Dekho sab directions mein dekhlo tumhare parents Nahi Aaye yahan isse kehti ho tum asli feelings isse kehti ho tum pyaar , unke beti Ka accident hua hai yeh sunke bhi  Woh Nahi Aaye Kyun na Woh paisa jo Woh APNI pyaari beti ko denge , agar Woh zinda hi Nahi rahi to Woh kisse denge Woh paise , pyaar Ka koi value Nahi hota , Sumedh aur maine Baar Baar tumhari wajha SE bohot pain SE samla Kiya hai hum dono be phor bhi Maine tumse dosti Nahi Todo , Kyun na Woh asli friendship ke liye .. kya tum samajh pa rahi ho tumne Kiya kya hai ?? Bolo Mallika ab chip Kyun ho ?"

Preeti's eyes had turned red out of crying she was quite angry on Mallika , and the other family members of Sumedh remained quite and listened to her and were overwhelmed by her thoughts. While on the other side Mallika after hearing Preeti's words no words came out of Mallika's mouth she had understood the difference between fake love and care  which she had been getting and the real one which she never got from any other person except her mother whom she and her dad thought to be too middle class , she was broken from inside out of guilt , fear , pain , anger and much more ,  her ego had broken down . Suddenly the doctor came out ...

Doctor-"The patient is in danger "
