Seb and I made our way to the Western Courtyard, a square like garden area surrounded by buildings. We saw Emilia Bennet, Darius' girlfriend, and my enemy, picking on a new kid. The kid was small, not as small as a dwarf but smaller than the average human being, which I am not as I'm half fairy.

"You think you can walk into me without apologising?" Emilia said, angrily, screwing her fists like she was ready to punch the child. The child was a boy, with scruffy blonde hair and had a cut on his cheek from where his mother had hurt him when he was younger, his name is Callum, but most people call him Cal. I'd never met him before this moment.

"No, I'm - I'm sorry, I didn't - "

"You didn't what? See me? Must be blind then," Emilia said, pushing him to the ground. "Get up worm!"

"Stop it!" I yelled, and Seb gasped as I did so. I was being brave, something I'd never done before. "Leave him alone bitch, before I tell the school what you did last summer!"

"You wouldn't dare, Smith, you don't have the balls!"

I took her ignorance as cowardas. "Everyone listen up!" I yelled, and the others in the courtyard looked to see me. "Emilia did something very bad last summer, something very bad!"

"What did she do?" someone asked.

"Tell us oh great Reya!" another said.

"She shit herself in the woods and blamed a bird!" I said, and I was overjoyed as I heard the laughter from everyone else.

"You bitch! I'll get you!" Emilia said, raising her hand and shooting fire from her palm. I dodged it just in time, I wasn't very good a dueling, and I regretted what I'd gotten myself into. I flipped in the air, landed on my feet and cast a ball of red flames in Emilia's direction, the fire struck her stomach, and she was thrown back on the ground. Everyone cheered as Emilia screamed.

Then I heard shouting from behind me. "Miss Smith and Miss Bennet, see me in my office this moment!" It was Professor Ahmed, the Normies Professor. The Normies Professor taught us what it's like to be non-magical. I felt my heart fall to my face as I heard him say those words.
