chapter 5

sorry for the long wait, i havent been feeling motivated lately to write another chapter, but here we are. 

3rd pov- 

on the way to nicks house, clay and george sat in the back, sitting next to eachother. whilst y/n sat in the passenger seat next to nick. clay and george were pretty quiet during most of the ride but occasionally, clay would show george something funny and they would both giggle a bit. but after the painful silence, y/n decided to turn on the radio. the previous song finished as she turned up the volume.

¨102.7 Lite Fm! Now Playing, is The Iconic, Watermelon Sugar, by Harry Styles!¨ the radio guys voice echoed as the song started. 

nicks pov- 

y/n put her phone down into the cup holder as a song started to play on the radio and rolled down her window. im guessing she was just getting in a more comfortable position. i took a couple quick glances at her. she seemed so- how do i say it, like she was so down to earth, and graceful, and... just looked so natural. *shoot, am i making it obvious that i like-like her? i hope not.i should stop staring, its rude* i got a bit frightened when she started singing the lyrics to the song playing on the radio.

clays pov- 

george and i were just watching some videos on my phone, and all of a sudden we hear y/n screaming the lyrics to watermelon sugar. both george and i flinched because the car went from complete silence, to y/n screaming. haha she is such a mood.

¨TASTES LIKE STRAWWWWBERRIES-¨ y/n sung, then george cut her off.

¨ON A SUMMER EVENINGGGGGGG!¨ 

¨AND IT SOUNDS JUST LIKE A SONNGGGGGG¨ they belted together. this will be a fun rest of the carride. 

~time skip to 15 minutes later~ 

nicks pov- 

after a while george got bored of singing and went back to watching videos with clay. while y/n was STILL full of energy, screaming the lyrics to each song, waving her hands out of the window, improving the vibe of the ride to my house. then how to save a life by the fray came on. i had to join her cause this is my current favorite song. as first she was surprised by my entrance into the performance, but then we vibed together and had a moment. at a red light, i looked at her and we made eye contact while still screaming the lyrics. when she was singing the lyrics, a huge smile appeared on her face.
