Chapter 12

(A/n): Hi, I'm really sorry I haven't published in a while. I haven't really had the motivation to do much recently, but I'm gonna stay on top of this from now on, I owe you all that much.

After we finished the race, Midnight announced the next part of the festival would be a cavalry battle. Everyone would be assigned points starting at five and increasing by five each place, so 42nd would have 5 and 41st would have 10 points. However the first place person would be worth 10,000,000 points. We were then left to form our teams. I immediately met up with Bakugou and Kirishima to form our team. A black haired guy then came up and joined our group. "Hi (l/n)."

"Hi, what's your name?"

"Hanta Sero."

"Nice to meet you Sero." We then formed our structure, I was to the right, Sero was on the left, Kirishima was in front, and of course Katsuki was being held up.

Once the challenge started Katsuki wanted to immediately go after Deku. We followed his lead and went after Deku's group. As we got closer, they flew up into the air. Katsuki jumped off and used his explosions to propel himself to Deku. He almost got to them, but a shadow like bird stopped him. Sero quickly made some tape and pulled Katsuki back towards us before he hit the ground.

We continued trying to get Deku's headband, and protecting our own. Around seven minutes in a group from class 1-B came by and was able to steal our headband. Katsuki got upset after the main one in that group taunted him. I could tell it got to Katsuki and prepared to make a counterattack and get back our headband. Katsuki made an explosion by the other groups face to steal back our headbands. He was then sent back by an explosion. Katsuki sent a second punch, and he hardened like Kirishima to protect himself. Another guy then uses his quirk to spray a glue like substance making Kirishima get stuck to the ground. Their team then left still taunting Katsuki. I was able to break Kirishima out of the glue, by using my glove to turn into a liquid and seep into the cracks, then expanding and hardening. We then chased after the team that stole our headband.

Once we got close katsuki jumped forwards to steal it, and someone created an air barrier. Katsuki's broke through it, and stole two headbands, landing us in 3rd place. Sero pulled him back so he wouldn't fall on the ground. Kirishima told Katsuki that we should just try to run out the clock at this point, but he wasn't satisfied.

I created a thin sheet of metal in front of use that we could slide across, while Sero pulled us forward with his tape. I moved the metal with us so it wouldn't just go away and we'd fall. As we got closer the guy that could copy quirks made an air barrier, Katsuki broke through it with ease and stole back our original headband, so we were in 2nd and they had none.

We were all pumped up and ready now, when Katsuki told us we were going to go after Deku and be the undeniable winners. We started to charge forward, to where there was a giant ice wall. As we got closer though the time ran out. Katsuki got off in a huff, and I walked over to talk to him. I knew why he was upset about not winning, and wanted to comfort him. "Kat, it's okay, you can still be the final winner, this one thing doesn't matter."

"Yeah I guess, but I wanted to win at everything."

"I know, but you can still prove that you're strong."

"Thanks (y/n)." I smiled back to acknowledge his thanks. We were then told we could take a break for lunches while they set up for the final stage. I walked with Katsuki, Kirishima, and Sero to lunch. We sat down and ate our food, talking and goofing off. Apparently Sero often ate with Bakugou, Kirishima, Mina, and Kaminari, though he was missing.
