Chapter 12
We managed to get into Blue Bullet without much trouble. That's when we found Yumeko groveling in front of a display case. It contained the jewels of Mata Hari. I had a pretty good idea of what Yumeko wanted to do with those jewels. She would probably sell them and run away.
We looked around for the contact. I had almost given up when I saw a wolf creature hiding. It seemed to beckon us near it.
"We have nothing to lose," Lila shrugged.
"Were you two interested in my ad?" the wolf asked us.
"How'd you know?" Lila pondered.
"People actively avoid a deathtrap, most of the time," the wolf grinned.
"Anyway, aren't you two wanted yourselves?" she added.
That's when I realized Lila's true plan. This was a money-making scheme! Oshtur was bad but so was my mother! To be honest, I could go either way on the issue. Both were horrible anyway.
Before I could ask more, Yumeko noticed us. Her face became that of a scared girl. Yumeko tried to escape and that's when the roar happened. A giant dragon came out of nowhere covered in red stuff. This was definitely more than I bargained for!
