Two she-cats cried out in unison to the darkness. The pain and agony in their voices told the dark and silent forest that though this may be terrible, the things to come after were great. The medicine cat and his helpers swarmed around with herbs, berries, seeds, and worries. The urgent sound of splintering wood called them again. Cries broke the sky as dawn arrived, and with it, new life. Both Dove and Cinder relaxed and welcomed the new day. . .
