Part 15

I hear my alarm ringing, I sleepily reach for my phone and switch it off. I hear McKay sleepily groan. I giggle, "time to get up boyfriend". McKay can't help but display a wide smile hearing that. I can't believe I have a boyfriend. All of the weirdness between Nate has been making my brain all scrambled in that department. McKay really has been the only clarity I've had. I sit up and realise I haven't showered in a couple of days. "Hey McKay, can I have a shower please?" I ask. "Yeah of course, here let me get you a towel", he replies. He comes back with a black towel. "Thanks" I say as he hands it to me. Ohhh my god it's so soft. Like it is the softest towel ever. I grab the bag I packed and pull out a crumpled pale pink off the shoulder long sleeve cropped top, some jeans, a white bra and underwear and make my way to the shower. I turn the shower on, waiting for it to heat up and put my towel and clothes down on the counter. I undress and step into the shower. My hair isn't dirty and I can't be bothered washing it, I might just put it up in a braid later. I wash my body and step out of the shower to dry myself off. I put my clothes on and walk out to grab my makeup and hair ties/hair brush. I walk back into the bathroom and apply light makeup but plenty of mascara and eyeliner. I then braid my hair and tie it at the back in a bun. I walk out and see McKay staring at me. "Mmm you look so good" he smiles. "Naw thank you" I blush. "Get ready or else we'll be late for school" I say. He smiles and gets up, changes his clothes, sprays deodorant/cologne on, brushes his hair and says "ready". God I wish I was a guy sometimes. I make sure I haven't left anything lying around, pack my bag and put my shoes on. McKay and I walk downstairs and make our way out of the house toward his car. "Totally forgot to ask, do you want breakfast?" He says as we get into the car. "No I'm okay, I don't eat breakfast" I say. "Neither do I!" He says. We both smile, finding out our similarities honestly feels so nice. We pull up to school and hop out, and wouldn't you know it, there's a Maddy Perez waiting for me right outside the entrance. I hop out of the car and start to walk, McKay runs up behind me and pulls me into a hug from behind and kisses my neck. He moves next to me and holds my hand. He's honestly so damn adorable, I can't. We walk up to the entrance, and Maddy is look at us both up and down smirking. "Soooo, anything to tell me guys" she beams. "We're officially together" I smile. "Yayyy!!!" She shrieks. "We have to go on a double date! Two best friends dating two best friends, I mean come on!, She says. I didn't even think about it like that, fuck. I literally am dating Nate's best friend. We walk toward the lockers, McKay looks at me and says, "Alright babe I have to go but I'll see you at lunch?" He smiles. "Alright, I'll see you later" I smile back. He kisses me gently and speeds off down the hall. Maddy is literally looking at me so strange right now, she seems happier than I am. "So how did that happen!" She says. "Well he had been so nice to be this past week, helping me out and getting to know me. He asked me out last night and I couldn't say no, he's just so perfect" I say. "Alright well we have to go on a double date. How about tonight?? Maybe we could go to the movies? Paranormal activity 2 is playing!" She says. "Yeah that sounds good, I'll have to ask McKay though" I reply. I kinda hope he says no, I really don't want to go on a double date with Maddy and Nate. Especially since Nate and I's last encounter. The bell rings for class. "Alright I'll see you at lunch" I say. "See you then" she says. I have a feeling I'll be seeing Nate sooner than I thought

I take a seat at my desk and look toward the desk Nate usually sits at. It's empty. I wonder where he is, I mean he usually attends all of his classes purely to make it looks like he cares so he stays on the football team. He's not stupid so I mean, I'll give him that. I sit through the entire class with Nate not bothering to show up and me wondering why. It's not like I care or anything, it just perplexes me. I hear the bell ring for lunch and I make my way back to my locker. I open my locker up and something falls out of it onto the floor. It's a piece of paper. I pick it up and examine it.
