Lucius and my father appeared right after my mother finished her 5th drink. Narcissa was somewhere in between her 7th or 8th glass I believe.
"We know you girls are drunk," Lucius tutted at the women who were both red-faced and giggling like idiots.
"You two are acting like the Zabinis at Christmas," My father laughed, picking my mom off the floor.
Draco and I sat at the end of the dinner table, both of us trying to conceal our laughter. We were scared of our fathers and wouldn't dare laugh in front of them. However, we feared them in different ways. Draco was terrified of disappointing his father- and my father as well. Meanwhile, I feared showing any real emotions in front of either of the men.
I was a pure-blooded girl, and a soon to be a proper woman. I would never be caught dead laughing at my mother nor Narcissa. Both are very well respected women in society.
I am a different person when my father is around. My legs instinctively cross themselves, and a smile appears on my face. When my father arrives home, my dress must be aligned with my knees, and any tiny detail out of place will be noticed by the man.
It's a ridiculous life I live.

Dinner was served, and our fathers went on about the ministry and something about Harry Potter. Draco seemed to show interest in the conversation, but I couldn't care less. Tomorrow was my first day of Hogwarts.
After a very long dinner, the Malfoys were soon out of our mansion. I felt freedom take over my body. I ran upstairs to double-check that I had everything packed when I heard a tap on my window.
To my surprise, three owls were perched outside the glass. Each of them had a letter in their beaks. I placed the letters on my desk and fed each of the well-groomed birds. I knew exactly who sent each owl by their different coats and designs.
I opened the first letter that was in the grasp of a small black and white owl with a golden chain around its neck.
Gems,
I hate Scotland. Get me out of here. I literally haven't seen glitter in days. I might die. I'll see you tomorrow though.
-Coco
Coco Malvada has been my best friend since we were kids. Her mother, Blair, was friends with mine at Hogwarts. Blair, Narcissa, and my mother were the queens of Slytherin, to say the least.
Coco and I were pretty much forced into our friendship, much like all my other friendships. However, Coco and I are destined friends. She was the one who would always dress me in nice clothing and drag me to fashion shows. While I would help her study and take her outside on adventures. Opposites attract, and even if we weren't introduced to each other by our mothers, we would still find each other one day.
Coco is what I like to call a girly girl. She always wears pink and glitter and wouldn't be caught dead in anything that cost less than an average house. Her mother is a fashion designer, and her father is the head of the Daily Prophet. So you can imagine that she is a brat with a great sense of fashion and a love for gossip.
I grabbed my quill and a piece of parchment.
Co,
You will survive, I promise you. I will see you at the station bright and early. Don't wear anything too flashy please, we don't want to cause a scene.
-Gems
I opened the next letter.
Gemini,
Hey babes, how are you? Father has been asking non-stop about you and your father. The Great Aries Risk has not been returning his owls. Anyways, see you, tomorrow love.
-Blaise
Blaise Zabini was another forced friendship. But this time, it was fathers who were friends at Hogwarts. Both being proud Slytherins. Now, the two men work in the ministry together. I'm not sure what they do, probably cause I don't care. All I know is that they are always discussing something together when we are at parties.
Blaise- how do I adequately say this? Blaise is a male version of Coco. He always has been. The boy is fashionable, charming, and spoiled. Just like Coco Malvada. I have a theory that the two of them are secretly in love with each other, and Draco agrees with me. But whenever Draco or I mention the thought, they act like we just told them the most disgusting thing in the world. So yes- they most certainly are in love
Blaise,
I love you sweetie pie. Please marry me. Just kidding, tell your father that my father is trying to get the stick out of his ass, and will return his owl shortly.
-Gemini
The last letter had little charmed flowers growing on it and was sent by a golden brown barn owl. I instantly knew this was from Dawn.
Dawn Harlow is the only muggle-born in our friend group. I know. Crazy.
However, she is the daughter of Severus Snape, both mine and Draco's godfather.
10 years ago, Snape had a love affair with a muggle. He got her pregnant, and she moved away to a small cottage in Ireland. She married another muggle, and they raised Dawn together. It wasn't until a year ago that Dawn was introduced to the wizarding world...our world.
Dawn is a kind soul. I think that living in a cottage your whole life does that to you. She always brings us flowers and sits with the mothers in the garden. Letting them braid her hair or do her make up as if she was a doll. Coco and I had our fair share of primping the girl as well. We would, and still do, dress her up in all of our old clothes. She's a petite girl, so she fits in the dresses I squeezed into when I was 6.
Dawn is the closest to me out of everyone. She latches on to my arm at parties and always asks me about magical objects and charms. I gladly take her under my wing and answer all of her curiosity. I love her like a sister I never had.
Gemmy,
Did you see what I did to the card? Father taught me how to charm it. It's cool, right? Anyways, have fun tomorrow!
-Dawn Snape/Bloom
Dawn,
I love what you did with the card. You're going to have to teach me how to do that when I visit. I can't wait for you to attend Hogwarts in two years. Love you always
-Gem
I sent the letters off with my owls and finished packing. Tomorrow was going to be great.
