Jumping to Conclusions

"Blake!" Kate shouted in shock. "Yeah. He's one of the software developers for WorldPlay, ya know him already?" Said Anthony. "Umm kinda" Kate said
"Hey Kate, what's wrong? Aren't you excited?" Asked another one of her friends, Sophie." I-I uhh yeah of course, I just forgot to claim a reward that's all, hehe." Kate said nervously. "Hi Kate. Wow,
didn't expect you to be a gamer type." Blake stated. "Hey, yeah..hehe." Kate replied. Kate was so nervous she was just going to log off, when Anthony said. "Well the real, real surprise is...he's giving us each 1 million playcoins!" "Oh my god!" Kate screamed.

"I got it!" Everyone shouted simultaneously. "Hey, I gotta go but text me tho Kate" Blake said. As Blake left, Kate was hit with so many questions about him, until she finally gave in. "I met him on campus today but I didn't know he was one if the software developers for world play!" "Katey gotta crushy." Sophie teased. Kate was teased about having a crush on Blake for one hour straight and they all told her confess to him. So, she logged off and sent Blake a text because she knew he had been waiting. 10 mins went by and Kate began to worry about how she will confess while waiting from him to respond.

"It's been an hour, is he going to respond?" Kate thought to herself but she decided not to wait up anymore because she remembered she had an exam the next day.

*clock alarm*
*kate checks her phone*

"2 texts and a missed call from Blake !" Kate said while gasping.

*kate reads the text*

"Hey. Sorry, I was helping my friend with programming."                                  11:03 pm

"Wanna meet up tomorrow after your school ends, call me so we can organize it if u wanna"

*Missed call*                                     11:20 pm              

"Oh no! I just blew my chances didn't I. I needa call back right now ." Kate said to herself.

*Kate calls Blake*

"Hey, who is this?" Coming from what seems to be a female voice.  Kate quickly hung up because she because she was overwhelmed with sadness. "He has a girlfriend?!" Kate shouted. She started to wonder if she was jumping to conclusions or if that was actually the case. Her mind was so occupied on this topic she forgot to study for her exam. So, when she arrived at school and took her exam, she knew none of what it was talking about. Her mind was still preoccupied on the situation, she couldn't even complete her exam . After the exam, as she was walking to go sit down on a bench, she looked as if she was distant in another world. "Kate! What's wrong?" Said a voice in the distance. Kate thought as if she was imagining it because she was so deep in thought and ignored what she heard. "Kate!" Shouted the voice. Kate begun to realize it may not all be in her head and was looking around when, she spotted her school friend Mabel. Although Kate appreciates her, she sometimes comes off as deceiving. "Oh, hey Mabel" Kate replied. "Why you so spaced out?" Mabel asked. Kate was just about to respond when she saw Blake on the compound once again but this time with a girl. Emotions took over Kate and she ran away (heading home) without saying a word. "Could it be true?" Kate asked herself...
