As Kate was running home from the campus, Blake caught a glimpse of her and texted asking Kate about what happened. When Kate finally got home, the message from Blake came through. She was so upset and sad she didn't even consider replying, she just read the message and turned off her phone. Her safe place has always been gaming so, she went online but also she wanted someone to vent too. She checked her friends list to see who was online because it was still rather early in comparison to the time they normally play together. She looked at the name, it began with a 'S' so she was happy but, it was Sebastian, the last person in their 4 person friend group. Kate got happy when she saw the name begun with a 'S' because she was really hoping for it to be Sophie, to get a girl on girl conversation. Sebastian hadn't known about the crush Kate had developed for Blake, he didn't even know who Blake was because he wasn't online at any point last night. Kate quickly logged off, she didn't want Sebastian to see her online then, she would have to fake her emotions.
As she logged off she got a call from Blake, surprisingly enough her answered and shouted into the phone. "Why didn't you tell me!"
"Tell you what?" Blake replied.
"About your girl" Kate said angrily.
"My girl?" Asked Blake seeming slightly confused.
"Yes! The one you were with at my school, the same one that answered your phone when I called." Kate stated.
"Oh no, that was just my partner in software development and that was my sister who answered your call." Blake said.
When Kate heard that she felt upset at herself for being upset at him for her misconception. "I-I'm so sorry that I jumped to conclusions." Kate said.
"That's fine but why were you so upset at me about it" said Blake who was oblivious to Kate's feelings towards him.
Kate thought to herself now, now is when I should confess. So, she took 3 deep breaths and was out with it. " I-I have a crush...on you" She said nervously.
"I think I like you too and I wanna give it a shot but no need to give me the answer now. In 3 days I'll ask again, tell me then." Blake boldly stated.
"O-Okay" Kate said. She quickly hung up after because she didn't know what to do and was so happy yet nervous.
*3 days later*
Kate wondered if everything between them was going too fast because she never expected Blake to also have feelings for her. She was still in disbelief but was very happy. She had already known her answer to Blake's question as soon as it was asked so, for the three days, she was just waiting in anticipation of Blake's call or text. Finally, Blake had called and before he even got to say a word Kate shouted. "Yes!" He then chuckled.
As the days went by, everything was amazing, lovey dovey and sweet. They spent their days planning the future, the great stuff they will do the next time they meet and started video chatting everyday, at least when he was free of his duties. Until, one day Blake started acting weird, in the sense that he was being insolent, ignoring Kate often and not responding to her texts that much. She wasn't used to this behavior so this was very new/weird for her and it rose alarm. She played it off as a bad day but it kept happening frequently and that left Kate to wonder. " Is he losing interest? Is this who he really is?!"
