Chapter 11

Powerless Who?

Lisa POV

It's early in the morning and I can't believe that a lovesick dog is tailing us.

"Kai, you really didn't have to do this."

I heard what Jennie said to him. That's right. The lovesick dog I'm talking about is this Kai guy a.k.a. Jennie's past admirer.

It was just supposed to be us, gays--I mean girls walking together to school but Chan and Taehyung arrived at our dorm together with this dog who gave chocolates and a single rose to Jennie. Just a rose, if I were to do that then I would've given this cat-eyed beauty the whole garden.

"It's okay, Jen. It's just my way of catching up with you. It's been years and I miss hanging out with you."

Kai smiled at her. Oh, how much I wanna erase that smile with a punch and kick his little balls.

Why am I even annoyed just by his mere presence?

I heard a snicker beside me and turn to glare at Jisoo.

"What're you laughing at?" I asked.

"You look like a jealous girlfriend. You better step up your game if you don't want your girl taken away by others."

I huffed my shoulders before I replied her.

"Jealous? Me? Why would I? Ha! I'm not." I defended while crossing my arms.

"Oh really? Then why were you looking at him as if you're throwing daggers." Jeongyeon consorted Jisoo. They really like to tease me. I'm glad the gals are 3 meters behind us so that they won't hear these two idiots.

"I wasn't. I'm not jealous and will never be. The great Lisa Bruschweiler doesn't get jealous. I'm the greatest and that's a--"

"Lis, where are you heading to?"

Chaeyoung cutted me off. I was so busy blabbering that I forgot we were supposed to turn right on our way to school.

I groaned loudly and walk back to the two idiots who are laughing at me. I gave them a smack on their heads as I ran away from them.

I'm so embarrased.

It's already lunchtime. I am very nervous right now. If you're gonna ask why, it's because today is Friday Duel.

Did I forgot to tell you it's Friday today? So yeah, it's Friday. It means that Freshmen can battle as what the Principal have mentioned last week.

It's been days also since Taehyung and Hoony's duel. Days since Jennie questioned me. I'm glad that she didn't pushed to question more. I reasoned that it wasn't my power but just my instincts which she clearly didn't buy at all but still she let me slide.

Yesterday, Mr. Taeyang gave us our battle suits. When I went home to try it on, it was a little baggy. I just realized how thin I was. Though, I'm very confident so I find myself very sexy. That's right. Sexy, beautifully handsome, cute, tall, has tone abs but why am I still pissed at this dog in front of me right now?

"C'mon, say 'aaaah'."

"Kai, I'm not a kid anymore."

"But we used to do this back then."

"Hear yourself. "We used to" so that was in the past. I'm a grown up woman now."

This guy has been pestering Jennie since morning and I've been grumpy since morning. It's clear that Jennie feels uncomfortable around him. Poor kitten.
