Chapter one come...
Opening my eyes, I yawned, stretching my arms up and cracking my back. I looked over at my bedside clock to check the time, and, wow, it is 10:30 am already. I mean, last night was a huge night of celebrating the end of Foxfire for the year. With everything happening, it kind of felt like a fever dream. Shaking my head, I came back to reality, trying not to get lost in my thoughts again. I had an important job to do today. I could not let myself get distracted! I repeated that in my head a couple of times just to remind myself. It was Edaline's birthday tomorrow and I had to make this her most special one yet, because it was her first birthday with me. I love my mom and would do anything for her. I mean, I am actually going to try cooking by myself for her, which I know will probably end horribly. I know my talents, and in the kitchen, I have none...
