Maybe one just needs a distraction from everything that troubles them. Maybe it's not easy to decide your future until you let go of your past. Maybe I just need to realize that life is hard, it can bury me in its deepest pits. All these thoughts were wandering in my head, next, I hear footsteps approaching my room. My mom enters the room with an unusual expression on her face as if she's concerned about something. "Diana we need to talk," she said.

With a hint of curiosity, I asked her"what happened, mom? Is everything fine?"

"No, Diana nothing is fine, you seem lost lately. It breaks me apart to see you be like this. I don't know what's going on with your life, but I'm sure you'll be able to deal with it. If you have something that's bothering you please tell me, I'll help you"

"Mom, I'm fine" I lied. This might not be the correct time to break it down to her.

"I've decided on something, why don't you visit your cousins in London. It's been years since all of you had good times together" she said.

That seemed like a fabulous way for me to get 'distracted'. So without any delay, I agreed with her idea. She looked pleased maybe because she had seen me being excited after weeks.

Three weeks later

I was woken up by my cousin Ayden screaming, "D........!!!!!!!! Get up ". Makes me furious when people freak me out in my sleep. Anyway, I jump out of bed and freshen up, it's cold outside, so I grab my hoodie and wear blue jeans.

As I walk down the stairs, I hear my younger cousin Kiara listening to 'Drag Me Down' with full volume. It is an amazing song. One Direction songs have helped me forget the pain and taught me how to smile again whenever I was suffering. They are phenomenal, they have been my idols and will remain like that forever.

"What's up D? What took you so long to get up? " Ayden asked while he brewed some coffee.

"I have a bad headache, my brain is eating me alive" I replied while taking my cup.

"Ohh...that's terrible. By the way, guess who's going to play the finals today!" Ayden said.

" Obviously, it will be you but..which finals?" I asked.

"C'mon I am playing for the Doncaster Rovers team. Though I don't belong to that city they've selected me and today we have the finals against Bradford City " he said excitedly.

"Whoa, that's awesome dude, all the best for the match!" I said trying to reach his level of excitement. I've always loved football, used to play during school days with my mates. Lately, I've lost interest in all the things I used to love before.

"Yeah, thanks D. I'll leave now for the match and will be back by 8 pm" he picked up his soccer kit, waved at Kiara, and left.

My headache was getting worse minute by minute. The sun has set down, making my room dull and dark, just like my thoughts. So I decided to escape from this situation, and the only way is to go out and get some fresh air. I told Kiara that I'll be back in half an hour or so. I put on my shoes and set off to clear my mind.

As I walked down the street, I could see adult men at a distance, probably drunk men. While walking in front of that group, I tried to ignore whatever they were doing. One of them who might be in his late thirties was coming closer to me. He was wearing a black leather jacket without a shirt inside, which looked weird.

I tried not to react but I had to protect myself, so I punched him in his jaw and started sprinting as fast as I could. The whole group was chasing me. I couldn't see how many were there because if I tried to look back, I might lose control over my speed.

After taking many turns I ended in a place which was darker compared to a normal street. It was a path between two buildings that were apart from each other by a few meters. I was standing still there, trying to process what would be my next step.

Heard the noise of people running that might be the group chasing me, I thought. Well, I guessed it right. Those men gathered at the other end of the path, all of them with bitter expressions.

There was nothing else that could be done, no superman is going to come and help me. My gaze was still fixed at them, I was slowly turning my back towards the group. Still looking at their cross faces, I started to run in the opposite direction. In a span of a few seconds, I didn't know what had happened, I ended up in somebody's arms. Someone warm, calm and sweet. I didn't dare to think about what happened till now, because those ocean blue eyes made all of my thoughts disappear. The warmth sent me into a trance, it felt like heaven. YES, I'm damn sure it is him, it is Louis Tomlinson!
