"Uh, you okay?" questions Jade, looking at me suspicously.

"Uh, yeah, fine," I lie as I throw my phone into my pocket.

"Ooh, got a chain mail?" she asks as she continues to drive.

"No," I reply.

"Oh, err - okay then," she says, "WE'RE HERE!"

"Yay," I mutter.

She parks the car and hops out.

"Okay, wanna watch a movie?" she suggests as she walks to the front door.

"Uh, sure?" I agree as she unlocks the door and pushes it open.

"Yay, how about B-" Jade stops and screams.

"What is it?!" I squeak as my heart thumps.

"I killed her."

The skull, it killed her. Who? My mom? Or...

"MOM!" screams Jade as she runs into her house.

Jade's mom.

I scrunch up my eyes in pain. Jade's mom... she was like a second mom, I loved her, really.

"LOOK WHAT MOM GOT ME!" squeals Jade as she runs back to me.

Oh. Why did I have to jump to conclusions...?

I peek open my eyes.

"A NEW PHONE!" she screams happily, "Let's open it in my room."

I nod and follow her up the stairs. She swings her bedroom door open and plops her new phone on her bed.

She opens it, not caring how much she rips the packaging. Her new phone slips out,

"Aah! It's so shiny, it's so perfect!" she squeals.

I laugh. Jade's smile fades quickly -

"What the - ?"

Her phone flashes on and off.

"wAtCh yOuR BaCk. sKuLLy"

"Uh, Sara what the hell is this?!" she screams.

"Skully," I mutter, "Give me the phone."

She gasps, "What? No!"

"Just give me it."

"Why?" she asks, clutching her phone like it's a baby.

"Jade, just give it to me," I order impatiently.

"Fine," she growls as she hands me it.

The phone continues to flash on and off.

I begin to tap the keys on the phone.

"Who and what are you?"

The screen goes black.

"Your worst nightmare."

I inhale deeply. What is my worst nightmare?

The screen goes black once again.

I throw the phone back at Jade.

"So, did you fix it?" she asks.

"I can't fix it till I find it," I mutter.

"Find what?" she says.

"Uh, your phone," I say quickly.

"It's right here," she says as she looks down at it.

"Oh yeah, I forgot," I lie.

Jade raises an eyebrow, "Uh, you okay?"

I nod slowly.
