Beth gave her a cold look, oops sorry Beth. Beth lost her mother in a fire, Amanda's brother had drowned two winters ago, Jenson and Quinn I found out we're brothers that lost there sister and father in a hit and run just last spring,

Emily's aunt passed from a surprise heart attack, and Joshua lost lost his grandparents who had raised him; last year and it went on from people losing parents, aunts, uncles, cousins they were close to.

"where did Alex go?" I turned, I didn't even notice she had left and hadn't come back "I think she wasn't feeling well today, she must have gone to lay down" Amanda said "oh, well okay, I guess are first meet up will have to come to an end will meet up again next week she you all till then" she said with her stained teeth smile

"of course except you mrs. Dove I'll see you tomorrow". I was walking to my dorm as quickly as I could

A voice said I turned around to see Joshua trying to catch up with me "hey I thought you might want some company" "sure" I said trying to be as calm as I could "soo how was your first day at the academy?" "It was good I got lost a few times but it'll probably take me awhile to get used to getting around" "would you like me to help you to your classes?" "What?" Alex was asleep so I took a shower and checked my phone my mom had texted me "hey sweetie I hope you had a good day at school please call me when you get this love you xoxo.

That's strange she never usually didn't stuff like that. The phone rang a couple of times before she picked up "hey sweetie how was your first day? "It was good how's home?" "it's okay we miss you" "I miss you too"

"I hope your not mad at you sweetie we only agreed to this because we want you to get better" okay that was it "really! That's the reason because I thought it was you and dad could handle me not being your perfect happy daughter for 5 minutes even after I lost Nikki and Brandon

I thought that you and dad wouldn't have to worry about custody arguments because I'm not stupid I know you and him had already planning on separating! So I'm sorry for thinking that!" I hung up before she could humor me with one of her "you just don't understand speeches"

I walked back into the room and Alex was still in her coma sleep. I payed on my bed again thinking of how today when so well minus my mom and I also reminded me why I shouldn't be here everyone here has lost family, Nikki was like a sister to me but Jenson and Quinn lost there real sister and father in a hit and run and they still haven't found them!

And the driver that hit us is in jail! waiting for his court date why am I here? I was so consumed in my thoughts again that I feel asleep with the same one word question. Why?
