*AN* long time, no see! Found this chapter in my drafts from like 4 years ago! Good to be back!

Lauren woke up the next morning in a cold sweat when she was scared out of her slumber. A nightmare. Yet another miserable side effect of no meds. Tears filled her eyes as she cursed herself for making such a dumb mistake. She'd forgotten to refill her medicine and she had relapsed after three years.

She carefully got out of bed, making sure not to wake Camila, went to use the restroom and splashed water on her face. She looked terrible. Her eyes were puffy and her wrists had giant bandages on them.

It wouldn't even matter if she cut again. She'd already broke the three years, it didn't matter anymore.

She looked in the drawers and found her hidden back up, weighing her options.

She picked the blade up and raised it to her arm before quickly slamming it down on the counter and running back to bed.

She laid down on her side facing away from her girlfriend, quietly letting tears fall down her cheeks as she clutched her head. She quietly sniffled and looked over at her girlfriend who had stirred a little, but appeared to still be sleeping. Lauren pulled the blanket over her head and accidentally bumped the side table.

"Lo?" Camila mumbled, still half asleep.

She tried to steady her voice to try and sound sleepy, "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up."

"You okay, baby?" Camila sat up in the bed and furrowed her brow at the girl buried under the blanket. She tapped her shoulder lightly and pulled the cover back, seeing her girlfriend's face red and puffy from crying.

Camila shot her a look and rolled her over so that they could lay facing each other.

"I'm fine." Lauren quickly said, averting her eyes.

"You don't seem fine."

Lauren just wiped her eyes and shook her head, "It's nothing."

Camila moved the girl's face so that their eyes locked, "I can see it in your eyes and look at your hands. You're shaking like a leaf."

Camila sat cross crossed in the bed and pulled her girlfriend into her side, grabbing the girl's shaking hands and kissing her knuckles.

"What are you thinking about?" The brown eyed girl continued playing with her girlfriend's fingers as she waited for an answer.

"You know what I'm thinking about." Lauren mumbled, barely audible.

"Sorry baby, I couldn't hear you."

"You know what I'm thinking about, okay?!" Lauren yelled as tears streamed down her face, making her girlfriend jump slightly.

"Hurting yourself?"

"Yeah." Lauren croaked out, avoiding eye contact.

"Did you?"

"Almost, that's why I laid back down."

"I'm glad you didn't." Camila kissed her on the cheek and wiped under her eyes. "Do you want to go do something to get your mind off of it?"
