The peaceful morning was disturbed when Lando's alarm rang through the room. I was the first to wake up. I opened my eyes and looked around in the room; it was pretty lightened up, but still dark. A yawn left my mouth. My eyes fell on Lando, who was still peacefully asleep in bed next to me.
He was laying on his stomach, turned towards me. A small smile curved on my lips and I looked away. Lando's arm rose from my body and he turned to his nightstand to turn the alarm off.
Lando yawned softly and turned back. The sun was shining already outside and it looked like it was going to be a beautiful day, yet the only thing I wanted was to stay in bed till we couldn't sleep anymore.
"Good morning". His voice was slightly hoarse and I could only hum in response. I pressed my face in my pillow and sighed. "What's the time?"
"8 o'clock."
Lando's fingers moved through my hair, twirling the strands around his fingers. My head moved to lay on his chest and he chuckled softly as he noticed I wasn't going to let him get out of bed soon. "Aeden...". He muttered, propping himself up on his elbow and looking down in my eyes.
He smiled, the back of his knuckles caressing the sides of my face. "You're so warm, stay just five minutes more". I whimpered, pushing myself more up against him.
For the very first time, I've felt such a feeling. It wasn't normal for me to feel this amount of butterflies flying through my stomach. I wish I could stay longer but I know he had to leave sooner or later.
Lando remained where he was. My fingertips trace random patterns on his arm, his fingers continuing to comb through my hair meanwhile. I closed my eyes and listened to his steady heartbeat.
"I really have to get ready now". Lando whispered a few minutes had already passed by now.
"Hmmph...". I complained, pulling my arms back and clutching the duvet higher up my body.
"I'll be done before noon and then I can come back to pick you up so we can get some lunch". Lando said.
I watched him as he got up from the bed, his training clothes already laid out on the chair, which he got out of the car yesterday eve. He slipped into some clean underwear, training shorts and a long-sleeved shirt. Lando took his phone from the nightstand, unplugging it from the charger to slide it in his pocket.
I rolled over to the side of the bed he slept in, breathing in the scent of his cologne that was left on the pillow and his side of the covers. "You coming?" He smiled. I hummed in response and got out of bed.
I got a hair tie from my desk and put my hair in a bun. I honestly don't care it's a messy one, since I'm in some shorts and an old t-shirt from my father.
"Yeah," I muttered and let out a breath. "Are you in for breakfast? I'm hungry or do you have to work out immediately?."
"I have to leave in around 10-ish," Lando said as he stretched his muscles whilst we enter the kitchen.
I filled the kettle with water and let it warm up. "Please, make yourself at home, explore the cabinets, or whatever. I'm making a cup of tea if that's okay?"
Lando nodded and looked around in the kitchen. "Have you planned other things today?" I asked as I got a beer crate to reach the top cabinet to get the tea mugs.
"Nope, nothing," Lando said while placing his hands just above my hips to get hold of me. I could feel his breathing in the crook of my neck. "Let me get them before you fall."
I slowly jumped off the crate, turned around and noticed the smile on his face. "Okay." I smiled back before my cheeks decided to turn a darker shade of red.
"Here you go," Lando said when putting down the mugs on the kitchen counter.
I get the milk from the fridge and placed it on the kitchen counter. "I need to do some groceries so the only thing I have to offer is toast or a salad?"
He shook his head. "That's okay. Toast is fine," he said.
I grabbed the toaster and some bread slices. I put them in the toaster. "You should manage them yourself on how toasted you want it to be." I grabbed two plates and topics for on the bread. "I'm sorry, I am not a fan of fancy breakfasts, as you can see."
"Are you really thinking about what kind of review I'm going to give your breakfast?" Lando raised his eyebrows and couldn't help himself by grabbing the two mugs, the milk and tea. "No, breakfast is breakfast. As long as I get my belly filled."
In the corner of my eye, I saw Lando taking a seat on the barstool, making the tea. "No milk for me, please."
"Mate, are you even English?" Lando blurted and looked at her. "First you only have toast and a salad to offer and second you dislike the English tea? I don't...you're broken."
I smirked. "I don't like the flavour, I'm sorry." Our eyes met and I could see the frustration in his eyes.
Conversations were shared and we had a relaxed breakfast - no hurry, just slow eating. I was checking my Instagram once again, I really need to stop doing it, and saw that Lando mentioned me in his private story and had a few new requests. I checked the story and saw it was a short video of Lando filming me trying to get the mugs from the cupboard.
"You know, that messy bun looks pretty cute on you." Lando smiles while taking a sip from his tea. My cheeks began to redden. "Thank you, Loon."
A smile curved on my lips as I looked back at the following requests. "You follow them, so who are all those people?" I hand my phone to Lando and look at him with a questionable look on my face.
"Ah, they still will hit the follow button," he said and grabbed the phone. "Let's see... We have Carlos, Max, Charles and Marcus Armstrong with their private accounts. Those I can confirm."
"Idiots."
