Both Clay and Ryan turned to Zak and Darryl looked up at him. "What are you, his boyfriend now?" Ryan asked Zak. "No, I'm not. What are you doing?" Zak asked. "Little Halo here decided to get my friend suspended." Clay responded. "I..I didn't mean to!" Darryl winced. "Oh shut up!" Ryan turned back over to Darryl and kicked his knee. Darryl yelped in pain. "I said leave him alone!" Zak yelled as he shoved Ryan against the wall.
Darryl gasped and looked over to Zak. "Stay out of this, Zak." Zak ignored Clay and instead turned to Darryl. "Run." Was all he said. "Thank yo-" Darryl was in the middle of thanking Zak until he noticed Clay glare at him. Darryl gulped and he ran off. Ryan was about to say something to Zak until he heard the bell ring. "Come on, Ryan. We'll deal with this later." Clay sighed.
Ryan nodded. He glared at Zak one more time before saying, "This isn't over." Zak sighed and walked off. Thinking about what had just happened. He didn't know he could pull of something of that fashion. What did Darryl do to make them so mad? Zak didn't think of Clay as the confrontational type. And why was he so rude to him? They were friends just a little while ago.
Once Zak got to his class he completely zoned out. Just thinking. What did Clay mean about 'decided to get my friend suspended'. But then he remembered something. He hadn't seen George ever since the morning. Did Darryl somehow get him in trouble? Zak's thinking was then interrupted by a loud voice. "Helloooo! Are you there?" It was one of friends, Tommy (Tommyinnit).
"Huh? Oh!" Zak twitched as he snapped back to reality. "What are you thinking about? I was talking to you this ENTIRE time, dumba**." Tommy snapped. "Sorry! Geez, you don't have to yell at me." Zak groaned. "What were you even talking about that was SO important?" He asked. Tommy sighed. "Our project, duh." Zak looked confused. "Project? It's the first day!" Tommy moaned. "Yeah, this year is supposed to be all about group projects."
