Chapter 8

He throws himself right into the salty water. He pops his head back up, taking his hands and brushing his, now wet, hair back. He swam deeper towards noya and Tanaka where they were laughing at kageyama was trying to swim. "S-shut up!" I faintly hear kageyamas voice. The laughing gets progressively louder, I then see two short figures dive underneath the waters bitterness. I debate joining them but then I remember that I've already taken a shower. I sigh to myself and turn back to yamaguchi, who had now gotten a book out and was reading quietly.
"What are you reading?" I question yamaguchi "oh, this?" He looks briefly at the cover of his book "its tobios book, I was just checking it out. Its pretty interesting." He closes the book and slips it back in the kings bag.

"Hey, do you wanna go get the team ice creams?" Yams says. I nod and get up off the sunbed. "Daichi, suga! Me and tsukki are going ti get ice creams for the team." Yamaguchi calls out towards the ocean. Daichi holds a thumbs up towards us as we made our way. We strolled down the sand, yams occassionally kicking some as he walked.

We made it to the icecream stand. We wait patiently for our turn to order. Two people away, a dilemma comes up. "How are we gonna carry all this icecream? There's 10 of us and only two here right now." I bring up. Yams slides of his back pack and reveals out two icecream cone holders, five sections in each. "Well, that's handy." I say and he laughs.

We make it to the front of the line. "What can I get for you two gentlemen?" The icecream server states. I can't really tell if they are a boy or a girl. "Uhm, this might be a hassle but can we get 10 icecream cones?" Yams speaks up. The servers eyes goes wide, they then sigh. "Oh lord, that's a handful but sure, I can do that." They answer "Flavours?" I look at yams and he stares back at me clueless. "We'll go safe and get three chocolate, three strawberry and four vanilla." I say. "Alrighty, coming right up." The server says as they turn around to start making the ice cream.

We make it back to the sunbeds to see everyone already sitting around. "Hey guys!" Suga welcomes. "How much did it cost?" Noya asks. "You expensive asses costed me ¥2073." I sigh as I go round handing out icecreams to everyone. The group laughs. "You guys offered." Tanaka shrugged and Bit...yes bit, into his chocolate icecream. "Did..you just..bite and icecream?" Hinata asks "yeah? Why, are we not meant to?" He looks confused. Everyone looked around in disbelief. "Have you never eaten an icecream before Tanaka?" Noya looks up at him. "I've always bit icecreams." "Your not normal." I pitch into the conversation.

The group fell into a comfortable silence as we finished up our icecreams. I finish first and check the time on my watch. '15:04'. I sigh. "We are having the buffet tonight right?" I break the silence. Suga nodded. "Yeah, at five." "Well its three right now, we should head back and get ready." I mention. Everyone nods and starts packing up, ready to go back to our hotel rooms.

Me and shoyo walk quietly back to our rooms. Once we were inside, shoyo let out a huge sigh and collapsed on the floor. "Shoyo, why are you on the floor when there is a bed right there?" I look down at him. "Mmmmm." He groans and rolls over. "Cmon, we need to shower and get ready for the buffet. You want food right?" He immediately springs up from the floor and rushes into the bathroom. I shake my head and chuckle.

We join the group down in the lobby. "Alright, ready to go?" Suga announces. We all mumble and answer and we were on our way. We split up into two groups of four and one pair. Me, shoyo, noya and Tanaka in one and daichi, suga, kageyama and yamaguchi in another making the pair kiyoko and yachi. Asahi was unable to make it since he was feeling sick.

We followed noya to a free table. We all talked for a bit then noya and Tanaka went to get their food first, when they arrived back me and shoyo went. They had all kinds of food for us to choose from. Once we filled our plates, we walked back to the table to see noya and Tanaka laughing about something. Me and shoyo pull out our chairs, that scratch across the floor, catching the other boy's attention.

"Thank you for the food." We said in unison before digging into our meals. There was chatter here and there while eating but everyone mainly focused on finishing their food before anything else. One by one, we finished our food. Noya finishing first, followed by me, Tanaka and last shoyo. "I'm gonna go grab a plate for asahi." Noya said getting up. "Can you bring a plate upstairs?" I stop him. "No one said we couldn't." He shrugged and walked back over to where thr food was laid out. "So hinata, kei...have you uh...you know?" Tanaka struggled. "Have we what?" I question him, a hint of suspicion in my tone. "Uh..haha, nevermind." He says quickly. "How you guys enjoying the trip?" He changes the subject. "Its fun!" Shoyo exclaimed "I can't wait to go camping next." "Ah same." Tanaka agreed. "What about you tsukishima?" "Eh, its alright." Tanaka was about to say something else when noya showed up with asahis food. "Alright, we can go now." He said walking towards the exit. The three of us stood up and followed behind him.

"See you guys tomorrow!" Noya and Tanaka shout, walking the opposite way down the wall way. We replied and opened the door to our room. Shoyo sat on the bed softly. "Kei?" He said "mhm." I look at him. "I've been thinking...and we haven't really been able to have time for ourselves. Just us two." He mentioned. I thought about it. Yeah, it was true. We haven't had much time to ourselves..much less than I'd like to. "You're right. What if tomorrow we spend the day just for the two of us?" I ask him and he smiles at me "mhm!" He finishes the conversation and starts getting ready for bed
