"Wait," I said when I reached the hall, and checked the security sensors. I blanched; people were coming in from the boathouse and gazebo entrances, and a few over the lawn. Uncle Jason cursed, but we both recognized heroes being helped along by other heroes.

"I don't know what all this is about," he said tersely. "What do you want to do?"

"See what I can do to help," I said grimly.

"I'm not questioning your professionalism, but can you?" he sounded worried.

"I'll do what I can."

"I'll help if you tell me what to do."

"I'm going downstairs, get ready. Let the ones on the lawn in and bring them down. If you can get a basic understanding of what the injury is, that would be great." He nodded and went to the kitchen door; I took the elevator down. I'd just gulped down an energy drink, assumed my mask, and put on a smock, sterilizing my hands, when the first wave came in.

Then I was busy, stepping out and performing triage. Flash brought in Wally, who had broken bones. Hawkman had a dislocated shoulder and had been beaten so badly I wouldn't have recognized the Egyptologist if he hadn't been in costume. His metal wings were badly bent. Black Canary brought in Green Arrow, whose hands were broken. Zacharias brought in Zatanna, unconscious. And Grandpa Xander helped Nick in; like Hawkman, he'd been seriously beaten.

Well, this was a disaster event, and I went from patient to patient, assessing needs. Uncle Jason put Hawkman's shoulder back in and Hawkman was the first customer in the vertical tissue accelerator. Nick was conscious but in a lot of pain; I gave him a painkiller and sent him down to the secondary site in my panic room to use the tissue accelerator there. That was the easy part. Wally was healing, unfortunately; I got the compound fracture of his radius and ulna set, but his femur had to be broken again and reset. I hated that part; superhealers were hard to treat. I had to have Uncle Jason do that, under supervision, of course, because it took a lot of strength and energy that I just couldn't spend right then. I manipulated the bone, using the 3D scan to align it correctly, and set it with a splint. Flash carefully moved Wally out to the pool deck and I told him where he could find high-calorie snacks and drinks. They'd need them.

Zatanna had been knocked unconscious, so I administered concussion medication. She didn't wake, however, and Zacharias discovered that she'd had a spell placed on her. Well, I couldn't do a thing about that, and Jason carried her out to the pool deck so that Zacharias could "try something." Whatever it was, it wasn't working. He asked for permission to call his father, John Constantine, which I ok'ed, because why not? That left Green Arrow. Dr Lance had located the painkillers and administered some to her husband while they waited, so he was much better off by the time I got to him.

"What happened?" I asked absently, using a medical marker to write symbols on the hands as a key for treatment as I read the scan.

"We hit the Injustice League Headquarters with the full strength of the Justice League," Green Arrow said dreamily. "Unfortunately, we're not as many as we used to be, and we got our asses handed to us. Battle's still going on."

"Looks like they targeted each of you according to your battle skills," I said. Green Arrow couldn't use his bow now.

"They're not trying to kill us, just hurt us," he said. "Dunno why."

"This is the first time I've seen you wear a mask," Dr Lance said; she'd been observing us, of course.

"I had a treatment for cancer a few days ago," I said absently as I started to numb areas of the hands strategically to cut down the pain for the hero. The drug that Dr Lance had used helped but wasn't enough for treatment.
