An Invitation

I put some clothes on and hurried down stairs and eat my dinner from last night. I wrote a note for my mom telling her I woke early and left and that I loved her.

I after that I left and didn't even wait for the bus. I just teleported behind a couple of bushes and went to the office, it was opened indeed, I asked Dr. Dokery if she'd let me go into the library.

She did indeed. I checked out a couple of books and maybe texted my mom. She send me a text that she thought I had run away till she read the note on the counter. Then she said the alarm clock just went off. We send me a couple of lol's. I loved her sense of humor.

I heard the door open and I a lot of feet came in. Door stated opening and mine opened. Shadow came in with his ears jetted. He gasped when he turned to see me.

"What are you doing here so early early bird?" He asked me. I smiled.

"Got up early because I was anxious to ask you if you wanted to bring your parents over for dinner tonight." I asked him. He gave me a warm smile.

"Is be glad to come Silver." He said smiling.

"Great! I mean... That's a relief... I mean that's wonderful, my mom will be glad to finally meet you." I said rubbing the back of my neck and blushing. I was so embarrassed. (Why do u have to be such and idiot?!)

He smiled and chuckled quietly. "I'll come, guarantee it!" He said quite excitedly.

"Alright!" I said in a whisper. "Let me get my books and we'll get stared." I said getting up and walked toward the door, but I tripped over Shadow's foot; and we got all tangled up."Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" but then we fell again, Shadow had me pinned against the bookshelf.

I was as red as I tomato! And Shadow was extremely red, like a neon red. He panted lightly.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do this. I'm kinda clumsy and I fall very oft-" but I cut him off.

"It was my fault. I fell." I said as we got out if our awkward position. "See you tonight?"

"Yeah..." He said rubbing the back of his neck. I went out the door and sighed in relief. I was now going to my next class now since Shadow and I spent all our time talking. Then I met Sonic in the hallway, there we walked to science.

"So are you ready for video game night?" He asked extremely excited.

"Sorry dude. We're gonna have guests tonight and we're having dinner. So I'm booked." I told him.

"Oh man. You should have told me that before I bought everything, the chips and sodas, and all the other stuff." He said taking out a receipt.

"Sorry dude. Maybe next week." I said. "Let's go before we're late to science." We walked to the science room and spent the rest of school talking about these insane video games.

Shadow's POV

I walked home with Scourge. He left me at the telephone pole he leaves me at because my dad doesn't want to see him.

"Bye babe..." He said kissing me. I didn't tell him about I was going to Silver's. I walked in and told my dad about it. He said he'd love to meet Silver and his parents. We agreed we'd get dressed nicely. He got the car ready and I called Silver so he could tell us where his house was.

He said it was through this street and all this. We figured it was a couple of blocks away so we would walk there.

We arrived and Dad knocked on the door. We waited outside for someone to receive us. Turned out Silver opened the door for us.
