After they all finished breakfast, the four of them headed down to Snape's dungeon. Aurora took a seat next to Hermione, while Harry and Ron sat together in the row across from them.

Soon, other students started flowing into the classroom, and Aurora noticed that some of them were wearing green ties.

"Are we taking this class with Slytherins?" Aurora whispered harshly to Hermione. Hermione frowned and nodded.

Aurora tapped her fingers nervously on her desk as she looked at the front of the room. She hadn't even noticed the man that was sitting at his desk. His hair was a slick, greasy black, and a frown was plastered across his face.

"Is that Snape?" Aurora whispered to Hermione again. She nodded in return.

Suddenly, a loud laughing came from the front of the classroom, and a notorious blonde slytherin came bursting through the door. He was surrounded by his crownies.

The blonde peered around the classroom and noticed the empty two desks behind Aurora. He walked toward it, followed by one of his followers.

"Ah, I guess I'll have to sit behind the pretty little new girl. I'm sure you're enjoying all the attention, aren't you? And you're still hanging out with that mudblood. I thought I gave you a proper warning!" He sneered as he took the seat behind Aurora. The boy next to Draco let out a cackle.

Aurora swung her head around and gave him a death glare. "First of all, don't call her that name, or I might have to use some forbidden spells on you. Second of all, I don't like the attention, but you're the one giving it to me. I guess you just can't stop thinking about me." She said with a smirk, and swung her head back around.

Hermione giggled as she nudged her friend in appreciation. Draco scoffed, but couldn't seem to find a come back.

The man with greasy black hair in the front of the room stood up suddenly and started to walk slowly around the class. "To start this class, we will be making the draught of peace potion. Whoever mixes the potion best will win a vile. As this potion helps reduce anxiety, I would expect that you use it to help with this class." He remarked.

"I will be putting you into pairs, as I expect working with your friends will cause nothing but tomfoolery. Let's see. Ah, the new Mrs. Windhyme. You can work with Mr. Malfoy. Mrs. Granger, you can work with Mr. Crabbe..."

Aurora let out a angered sigh as she heard Draco sniggering behind her. She turned around. "Well, come on then. Let's get going", she stated, and then got up to sit next to him. He was wearing a smug expression on his face, as to which she rolled her eyes.

"Mind opening the textbook? I need to see the ingredients." She demanded, staring into Draco's cold eyes. She felt a shiver go down her spine as she stared into his orbs.

Draco ignored her. "How come you left your old school?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.

Aurora narrowed her eyebrows. "My grandmother wanted to move back to England- not that it's any of your business." She added.

"What do you mean, move back? And what about your parents?

Aurora let out another sigh. "Well, my grandmother used to..."

She was cut off as a voice sounded from across the room. "Ten points from Gryffindor, Mrs. Windhyme! Get to work." He reprimanded sharly, and as his eyes went back to writing on the paper on his desk.

"Draco was the one distracting me!" She protested.

Snape's eyes flashed back up and gave her a glare. "Another 10 points from Gryffindor. Don't talk back. I guess the rumors are true- Americans really do have horrible manners."

Many of the Slytherins in the classroom laughed, as Aurora felt herself boiling with rage. However, she decided that talking more would only make the situation worse. She looked back at Draco. "What are the ingredients for the potion?" She asked coolly.

Draco's expression looked almost sympathetic as he started listing off the ingredients. "Powered moonstone, syrup of hellebore, powdered unicorn hair..."

Soon, Draco and Aurora got into a rhythm as Draco would pass Aurora the ingredient and read out the instruction, as Aurora mixed it into the potion.

"So, continue with the story", he asked in between instructions.

Aurora swallowed. "I'm not really sure you deserve the story", she stated blatantly, mixing the potion.

"Oh, come on. We're potions partners now. Aren't we friends?" He said sarcastically. Aurora gave him a glare.

"Well, if you really want to know. My parents were killed by You-Know-Who when I was a baby, so my grandmother left the country with me. Since he's been gone for a while now, she decided it was time to return back to Britain." She stated, not looking at Draco once as she continued to stir the potion.

Draco was silent for a few moments as Aurora looked back at him. "Not as fun of a story as you'd thought it be, eh? Thought I had gotten kicked out or something?"

Draco snorted. "Well, I bet that was reason number two for moving back here."

Aurora rolled her eyes and put the last ingredient in the potion. She gave it a final stir and looked down at the potion's deep, turquoise blue color.

"Is this what it's supposed to look like?" Aurora whispered to Draco.

"Ah, yes. This potion looks decent." Aurora heard Snape mutter from behind them. "Good job Draco. Ten points for Slytherin." Snape briskly walked away, back to the front of the classroom.

While a sly smile grew on Draco's face, a frown spread even more on Aurora's. I know Harry said Snape was bad, but I didn't think he'd be this bad!

"At this point, I have examined all of your potions. The vile will go to Mrs. Granger and Mr. Crabbe." Snape announced from the front of the class. Aurora peered over to Hermione's potion and noticed the beautiful color of turquoise that her potion was- an even better color than Aurora's.

Snape walked over to the pair of them, but he handed the vile directly to Crabbe.

"Hey, that's not fair. I was the one that did all the work!" Hermione protested.

Snape whipped his head back around and glared at her. "I'm sure Crabbe will be kind enough to offer you a sip. Class dismissed!"

Sure enough, Crabbe immediately bolted out of the classroom, not even giving Hermione a glance. Hermione let out an irritated sigh and chased after Crabbe.

"Unfortunate that your potion skills weren't up to par. I thought you'd at least be able to beat a mudblood." Draco sneered.

Aurora clenched her hands into fists. "I told you to stop calling her that! And you worked on this potion, if you hadn't forgotten, so it's partially your fault that we didn't win that stupid vile. Why can't you ever just shut your mouth?" She dashed away, feeling that she would punch Draco in the face if she was forced into his presence for another moment.
