illumi x reader

Sorry darlings! I had such a long and busy weekend that I didn't get a chance to write. I'll be posting regularly again now! Also, please don't hesitate to make requests! I......kinda need some ideas :/

you sat, perched on the side of your shared bed with your beloved fiancé, illumi. 

illumi was out on another mission. he didn't give you many details about it, just that it was some rich family who abused their power. 

"he was suppose to be home yesterday evening." you sighed, looking down at your hands. 

a loud thud could be heard in the distant part of the old house. you hopped up, slowly gliding down the rickety halls. you stood in front of the figure that just entered through the uneven door. 

his face illuminated (no pun intended ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) by the light coming from the half covered window. His clothes were torn, cuts oozed crimson blood from his pale slender body, his black long hair blew into his face from drafts coming from the door that still hung open.

"illumi!" you gasped.

 you grabbed his thin wrist and pulled him out of the entryway. leading him back down the hall and then to your shared room. his slick hair danced behind you both. you sat him on the bed, and quickly grabbed all the medical supplies you could find. 

he slid his shirt over his bloodied chest and arms. smearing the substance into the fabric. 

taking an old rag you dumped it into cold water, carefully you placed the cold rag on his wounds.

illumi shivered at the new feeling. the cold water wiped away the smeared blood that trailed up and down his thin arms. you wrapped off-white bandages around the more severe wounds and placed thin gauze on his smaller cuts. 

you looked up at him, his face titled down, his long black hair tangled itself around his arms and neck. you brushed hair away from his pale face and set it behind his ear. 

standing up, you grabbed the black bristled brush. you sat back down and began to sweep his hair back. pulling through the delicate strands.

illumi looked back up at your face, his once sorrowful expression quickly became shocked.

warm tears fled from your e/c eyes. your lip quivered as your head shot down. tears began to fall into your lap, soaking your f/c sweatpants. 

illumi grabbed your chin with his long slender fingers, he pulled you face up and gave you a light peck on the cheek.

"please," he began to mumble softly in your ear. "don't cry my beloved. I'm sorry. Its my own fault that I was injured, not yours." his hot breath brushed against your cheek. 

you smiled up at him and began to reply. "I'm just glad your safe." tears still trickled down your face. he kissed them away and pulled you into a long silent hug.

you arms wrapped around his waist, as his arms grabbed the back of your head scrunching up your h/c hair. his other hand wrapped around your curved back, your body slumped into his own. 

he began to play with your hair as you wept into his bare chest. you cried yourself to sleep, still wrapped within his grasps. 

illumi picked you up and gently placed your small figure onto the soft sheets. he wrapped you in the thick warm blankets, and made his way to lay next to your side. 

he hung his hands over your waist and drew you close to himself. your steady breathing sending him into a calm state. he murmured sweet nothings into your ear. until he too fell into a deep sleep relived to be home.

hello darlings! I really enjoyed writing this one! It turned out to be a little shorter than id had hoped it would be, but I added a lot more detail that I usually do! I'm going to start to add lots more detail for my dear readers!
