Kim's pov
"We're going to go get some lunch." I say standing up with Jay. "You owe me food for the other day." Hailey says holding some cash out to me and I huff as I take it from her. "I was hoping you would forget about that." I say, shoving it in my pocket. "Hailey? Forget about food?" Kevin says, giving me a look. "Okay you're no help. Anyway, what do you want to eat?" I ask, turning my attention back to Hailey. "Alonzo's obviously." She says and I roll my eyes before I turn to look at Y/N. Deciding to be, nice. "You want anything to eat newbie?" I ask and she looks up from her computer. "Oh, uh, no thank you." She says and I raise an eyebrow. "Are you sure? Because you probably won't have time to eat again until after we wrap up for the night." I say and she bites her cheek, before handing me a 20. I swat Jay's outstretched hand away, knowing we never show any form of affection at work, unless its needed. "It was worth a shot." He says, causing me to laugh and for Hailey to fake gag. "Stop being cute and go get our food already." She says and I hold my hands up in defense before we leave.
Y/N's POV
I watch as Jay and Kim leave, looking away when I feel Hailey's eyes on me. "You need to let go of whatever infatuation you have of Jay. It's not worth it." Hailey says and I raise an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" I ask and she scoffs. "Look. I don't know you very well, but I do know Kim, and I know Jay. They're happy together and they're not breaking up anytime soon- if ever. I don't want to see you or either of them get hurt, so just move on, there's nothing there for you." She says and I sigh. "I appreciate it Hailey,  but I'll be okay." I say and she shakes her head. "Whatever you say Hudson, whatever you say." I just go back to doing my work, even though I know she's right.
