After school has started after a week, military training also began.
The sky is still not fully bright yet when the whistle sound rang from downstairs. Mai Ding and Li Ming struggled to climb out of their covers and wore their camouflage uniform along with their sports shoes before wearing a hate and rush downstairs. Due to the separation of genders for the military training, this time, two classes of guys are teamed together.

Mai Ding went downstairs and immediately saw An Ziyan wearing that camouflage uniform with that hat. The outer flap of the cap just nice covers a little of the eye but that good looking face’s expression is still the same, nothing. This made An Ziyan looked even more attractive. Mai Ding took chance of the confusion to stand beside An Ziyan. The instructor blew his whistle and the originally very noisy group of boys quieten down. His hands behind him, walking here and there in front before starting his passionate speech: “Good Day to all of you students, from today till next week, I will be your instructor. My name is Liu Rennian. Everyone should know the aim of this military training, it is to foster the spirit of everyone to push on in times of hardship.”

The instructor said a lot of things but Mai Ding didn’t even hear a single word as he just slant his head to observe An Ziyan this bisexual. An Ziyan also noticed the staring from that side, he immediately turn around and frowned his eyebrows while giving Mai Ding a death stare. This then made Mai Ding stop his observing expression.

“The third row second one, stand to the right.” The instructor was saying to Mai Ding as his height a little short but he is insisting on standing on the taller side which made it very inconsistent.

Mai Ding raised his hand, “Sir, I would like to stand here.”

“Who told you that you can stand wherever you want? Stand over there now!” The instructor raised his volume and that made Mai Ding helpless as he is getting further away from An Ziyan since there are 5 people in between them.

Military training is a very tiring and yet boring thing. The first day we learn how to stand in military posture. This was repeated over and over again as the practice keeps harping on turning left, turning right, squatting down and stand up immediately. Under the scorching sun in summer, Mai Ding’s face has turned red and the crickets’ sound made the originally hot day even more fustrating and irritating.

Furthermore, once it hits break time, there will girls who will appear from nowhere and give An Ziyan water or wet towel. This made Mai Ding’s stomach ache and regarding the ache’s reason, Mai Ding feels that it is time for SiDaShu (type of digestive pill for stomach ache).

Finally the day has ended and Mai Ding feels like he is about to die. He ran back to his room to take a cold shower and then ran to the school’s supermarket to get two bottles of sunblock before knocking on An Ziyan’s door. He is very used to knocking because everytime Mai Ding knocks on the door at least 5 times before An Ziyan will open the door. 

“What do you want again?” Except for Mai Ding, there will almost be no one else who will knock on his door.

Mai Ding then stuffed the sunblock into An Ziyan’s hands: “This is for you. I bought an extra bottle and since there is no one using it.”
