"I love thee with a love that shall not die, till the sun grows cold and the stars grow old."- William Shakespeare
Chapter thirty five. The end?
Hannah Jensen.
Five years later.I never thought I would have seen the day where the love of my life acted like a five year old kid on Christmas morning when he opened his gift.
His team picked him up and ran around the court with him then they did a happy dance I presumed him and his team created. What was even more hilarious, my father had joined them.
After five years not much have changed. Jake and I were still polar opposite on numerous things, we still had our ups and downs and misunderstanding were we fought and walked away from each other.
But what made us stronger was that we always came back to each other.
After I lost my baby it changed the both of us in a way we never really noticed. At first we weren't talking about it and we avoided it but the tension was so thick that it would have drawn us apart eventually if we didn't open up
It was not an easy path, but as they say after every storm there is a rainbow. And if we didn't heal we would have bled on those that had not hurt us and they do not deserve that. There are no short cuts to happiness, it will always be a struggle and knowing these facts, we healed, together.
Also learned to use protection.
I spent four years in Australia to train and become a marine biologist which caused Jake and I to attempt long distance relationship.
It was a struggle and many people gives up half way, but it was a trial for us, and it morphed us into who we are now.
It was not easy with the lack of connection we had especially when I was at sea and he was in training camp, not to mention his possessiveness and over protectiveness. In my last year six months before I graduated Jake decided to surprise me and it's safe to say it did not go as planned.
I quickly pulled on my swimsuit and was about to pull on my blue summer dress when my laptop chimed from a notification.
I dropped my dress on the bed then sat in front of my desk and realized it was Jake that was contacting me through Skype.
Not caring that an irritated Beth might come looking for me in several minutes I quickly answered with an excited smile on my face.
"Hello, love." He grinned. His hair was disheveled as if he just woke up and I was greeted by his toned and shirtless body.
"Hi." I smiled happily and his eyes widened then he furrowed his eyebrows and smirked.
"Are those for me?" He directed his eyes at my cleavage then I realised I was in only in my two piece white swim suit and I blushed.
Years with him and he still has that effect on me.
"Dream on lover boy. I'm going to a pool party with my friends at one of the teacher's son's place."
