Chapter 7: Deactivation

Tom's POV:
I feel as though my hearts about to shatter to pieces. I'm currently walking to the caretakers closet for what most likely will be the last time. Stella, frank and the head of MI9 await me at base. I'm terrified because today I will be dismissed from MI9 and deactivated as a spy.

I stumble out of the lift with my legs wobbly. I don't know why I'm getting so worked up over this. I guess it's because I don't really want galaxy to be left alone on missions and I guess I like being her guide and hearing her voice.

I look up and the rest of the teams standing in front of me. Galaxy smiles at me hopefully. I return with a grateful smile.
"Tom, what you did yesterday was undeniably dangerous and stupid. However you did save galaxy's life. Even though you did your not off the hook, it was still a violation of mi9 law." Stella said.

"But Stella, I had to she could have died!" I replied pointing towards Galaxy.

"I wasn't finished, because you managed to save the others and yourself you will maintain being a agent. However this is your only chance if something else happens you will be deactivated. " Stella continued.

Everyone cheered and I smiled at Stella, she returned with a wink. Did she say something so I would stay an agent to the head of mi9? I started to stare into space wondering about Stella.

"C'mon Tom, snap out of it. we got the rest of the day off to celebrate and Frank's shouting us for pizza, lets go." Dan said pulling me back into the lift.

"Wait what about schoo-" I replied being cut off.

We arrived at a pizzeria and sat at a table at the back. It was nice to spend some time with the group without being on a mission. We had some food and just laughed and mucked around until about 8 and decided it was time to head home.

"Thanks frank for doing this" I say to frank as we all climb into the van. "Not a problem mate" he replied and smiled.

The van pulled up at my house first and I got out of the van. "Thanks guys again, this was an awesome night" I said. They all smiled as a reply. I started to walk away when I realised I knew what could make this night better.

I turned around and faced the guys again and they looked at me questionably. " Umm Galaxy I was wondering if you wanted to maybe go on a date with me tomorrow, since it's a Saturday and all?" I say rubbing the back of my neck whilst blushing.

"It took you awhile" she replied smiling and nodding. I smiled. "Great ill pick you up around 10am." I replied

"Oh my god Tom it only took you forever" Dan said whilst passing Keri some money. Oh my god, they had a bet on how long it would take me to ask out Galaxy.

Galaxy winked at me as it turned away and went inside my house. As I closed the door I saw the van drive off. I ran up to my room and started shouting into my pillow.

"Yes, she said yes!" I shouted into my pillow however it was muffled. I heard a knock at my door and my mum walked in (read A/N). "What's wrong honey?" she asked.
"Nothing's wrong mum, for once everything's right. I'm going on a date tomorrow, and her names Galaxy and she's really beautiful. I really like her mum!" I say feeling really giddy and smiling widely. My mum pulled me into a hug.

"Yay my boys going on a date, I feel so proud. who asked who out?" she asked smiling. "I asked her mum, mum I asked a girl out and she's amazing." I replied. "Ok well get some rest" she said kissing my forehead and walking out.

Tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life.... I hope.

Hey guys sorry I haven't updated in forever, hopefully there will be an update again in the next few days.
Again I'm sorry for not updating, I've been really busy with school and now work so I don't really get any time to write. However I hope to start writing more often.

I don't really know if Tom has a mum or not, I can't seem to find anything about his family so I made his mum up. His mum won't be in the story often, probably 2 or so times.

Thank you guys for being so patient and again I'm sorry. Also sorry for such a long authors note.
