After getting Margot a glass of water and some tissues, I sit back down on the couch beside her. She'd started crying again, and I hated seeing her this upset.

"T-Thanks," She utters before taking a big gulp and placing it beside her. I rub her back soothingly and nod in response. Margot was my best friend. I'd do anything to cheer her up at this point.

"Whatever you need, I'm here. I can be your shoulder. I can help you pull the body bags. I can help distract you, anything." I urge while stroking her hair like Miss Eleanor used to do with me when I was upset.

"I can't believe it, you know? Like my whole life is basically a lie at this point." She sniffles. "Finding out I've had a family all along really hurt—that, and the fact that I was destined to have powers. How could my dad leave that all behind and never say anything," Margot adds shakily.

"It's normal to feel shocked and hurt. But, maybe this can be a good thing for you. I know you've always felt out of touch in the past. Maybe it was because this is your calling." I reply. Margot was never able to find something she was interested in when we were younger. She hated school. She highly disliked sports. When I tried to get her into playing the piano, she fell asleep, so maybe this new world is what she needed to find her passion.

"I don't know how you manage to find the positive in literally every situation," She chuckles. "Will you come with me when I see them again? I want some familiarity around me," Margot pleas.

"Of course I will!" I assure her with full sincerity. Margot has been there for me during the worst times of my life. It's only fair I support her in return.

"I think I just want to lie down for a bit." Margot decides, getting up from the couch with a blanket wrapped around her like a cocoon.

"Alright, I'll head into town to get things for dinner." I follow her suit off the couch. She slowly shuffles into her bedroom and sends me a sad smile before shutting the door. Margot needed time to herself, and I needed to get us food.

After changing into a floral yellow sundress and some sandals, I left the apartment. According to the map that Julian provided to us, the building was about a five-minute walk from the town center.

It was a beautiful town, with french designed colorful buildings and a cobblestone trail that littered the roads. Small water fountains and flowers stood outside almost every building, which really tied the town's aesthetic together. Couples walked hand in hand beside me as I strolled down the sidewalk. It seemed like the perfect spot to go for an afternoon walk.
