I pull into my apartment parking lot. I Start walking towards my apartment in a sort of daze. I can't believe I actually saw him! The last time I did.
I shake my head not wanting to think of the painful past. I open the door to my apartment and close the door behind me. Set the keys with a thunk on the counter. The chilly Idaho winter has me turning up my heater to 74 degrees.
I look around, yup there's my coffee cup. I go rinse it out and prepare myself some lunch. It's already getting dark outside, which I always hated the winter for that but otherwise.
I love the beautiful flakes that sprinkled the world around me once in a while. Like a snow globe of my own but outside of my own window.
I sit down with my chicken soup and turn the tv on to Netflix. Hmm what to watch? That was my last thought before my eyes slinked closed without me noticing.
The dream starts off where I left off. I race towards the silhouette. But the figure seems to be getting farther and father away.
"Wait!" I yell. It's as if the figure can't hear me, fog swallows me whole with white and nothing else. I feel I woosh of wind that forces me backward. I can't see anything again. The figure is gone.
I feel cold all of the sudden like an empty feeling. Like having warm arms that surrounded me then leaving all of the sudden.
It leaves you cold and wanting more.
