I glare into Jakes eyes, waiting for an explanation. He see's there's no backing down now, he sighs.

"Once upon a time, I was an Angel."

"Well I figured that part out." I say crossly.

"I was cast out of heaven for my interactions with mortal women, I liked them to much, so did Blake."

"We were the only two that were kicked out because we would talk with mortal women and perhaps some other things, we would get bored."

"We walked the streets with pride knowing we could have any of them, but it was against the rules to do so, but we didn't care."

"We couldn't get kicked out without evidence, it's kind of like rules down here, no evidence, can't do anything. But one day Blake and I both liked one girl, he got to her first though."

He paused and my eyes begged for more.

"That girl was you Azaria."

I rested my head on the pillow in deep thought, "continue," I say quietly.

"So being a good angel I let him have you, after I saw how he treated you I got very angry and decided to step in, he got jealous and ratted me out not knowing he was risking his own casting out as well, what a fool."

"A fool indeed."

"After that we both got kicked out and had to wander the streets and that's when I found Hunter all bruised up and torn. I took her into my apartment and she looked so beautiful I couldn't help but take her under my care. As she was laying on my couch I had an idea, it killed me inside but I knew it had to be done, to protect you from Blake. That's why you always saw me with her. I broke up with you so Blake wouldn't kill you because he thought it was you're fault and he said I had to break up with him if I didn't."

"And how do I know you two aren't making this up and taking me as an idiot?!"

"Let me show you."

He turns around and I see something I've never seen or felt before in my whole entire life

Black scars that run down his entire back from shoulder blade to his lower back. I gasp and run my hand down his back. Now it was my turn to apologize, "I'm so sorry, I didn't know."

"It's ok it's not your fault, we were along for it anyways."

"How come I never realized them before?"

"It's because I can retract the scars."

Then as if on cue his entire back turns back into smooth skin and not the bumpy scars that I touch not just a moment ago.

I kiss his back.

Then realization hits me like a train going at full speed.
