[ TEMPTING ]

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

HER footsteps went unnoticed in the sea of students as Hana walked in the school corridor. Her knuckles white due to holding her bag straps too tightly. Hana didn't dare look up, her eyes intently fixed on the floor.

The whispers of people echoed in her ears, multiple scents of blood made her nose perk up. She tried to keep hold of herself. After a whole week of staying at home, not taking a single step out, Hana was forced to attend the school. Finals were near and she was already so behind, considering her consecutive red lines in math.

Her throat itchy and dry like a sand paper, she tried to swallow her own spit to lessen her strong thirst. She wanted blood, she needed blood. However, she vowed to herself to never take a sip of the red liquid.

Finally reaching her locker, she opened it up only to get nearly smacked by a toy. She quickly bent down to dodge the punching toy. Clicking her tongue, Hana got rid of the childish thing, she knew there was only one person in that world that would resort such methods of annoying her.

She saw a note attached on the back of her locker.

yo rat.
Mr. Choi told me to tutor
your sorry ass. Well of course
he would ask me cuz I am
better than you, suck on that bleh.
Tho I would hate to see your
ugly face every day, ew af also
you are my rival so don't
expect me to tell you the secret
to my success

Lee Donghyuck.

"How the heck does he even know my password?" Hana mumbled. Soon terror struck her face. Fuck if he is tutoring me then he would find out! Hana pinched the bridge of her nose. He would tell everyone. She absolutely had no faith in him, agitated, she slammed her locker shut making the student next to her jump in fear.

A sudden chill ran down her spine making her skin crawl when she heard the familiar voice of the vampire. She turned around to see him, eyes boring on the back of his head as anger bubbled up in her veins, unbeknownst to her, Hana's eyes flashed bright red for a moment.

"Yangyang" Despising how his name rolled off her tongue. "Hana!" Her friend Yerin called her but she didnt hear. "Hana!!" Yerin yelled in her ear making Hana flinch, her hightened vampire senses made the yell of her friend sound louder for her. "O-Oh rin.." Hana awkwardly greeted, eyes unintentionally moved to Yerin's neck.

"Where the heck were you for a whole week?! We were so worried." Yerin spoke, worry laced her sweet tone. "I was uh sick. Bad throat." Hana mumbled, Yerin's blood made her fangs itching to come out. "Renjun even wanted to visit you but he ended up breaking his leg." Yerin told her.

"How did he b-break his leg?" Hana asked, her attention slightly diverted by the story of the clumsiness of her other best buddy. "He slipped down the stairs of literature block." Yerin chuckled.

"Are you sure you didn't push him down?"

"Anyway I am glad you are fine." She hugged Hana making her internally scream. Hana stiffly patted Yerin's back. "There have been vampire attacks recently. "

"Yeah. I saw..... those."

Hana hesitantly answered. "Oh dang class is starting bye!" Yerin gave Hana another hug much to the girl's reluctance, the two friends were in different sections. She coughed, her throat burned more.

Hana made her way to her class, dreading the fact that she would have to deal with the popular Lee Donghyuck who happened to be her classmate. It was no secret in the campus that the two disliked eachother, mostly Hana. It all started with Hana defeating him in a basketball game. Since then he always challenged her, trying to prove himself better, his precious ego too important.

Now that Mr. Choi asked him to tutor, she knew he would rub his intelligence on her face. She made a mental note to try change her teacher's mind.

She silently sat at the very back, trying her best to avoid the students as much as possible. She wouldn't want to lose control during school hours. The sudden commotion in the class made her roll her eyes, he was there.

Donghyuck arrogantly walked towards her, sliding her pens down the table he mocked her. "Hello there dumbass." He greeted her, more like insulted her. Hana never looked back into his eyes and bent down to grab her pens. Her uncharacteristic silence made him annoyed. "Yah! Ignoring me now princess?" He asked. Hana cringed at the nickname, I want to break his neck.

"N-Not in the mood." Cursing herself for stuttering, Hana refused to look at him. For some reason his blood smelled too tempting, the sweet sent made her fidget nervously, fangs threatening to reveal themselves. "I didn't hear you." Donghyuck leaned down, his faces inches away from her's. Stop making it more fucking difficult! Hana yelled in her mind. Her eyes switched to crimson for a fraction of second.

On instinct she moved towards him a bit. The sudden urge to bite him washed over her. "Tch boring." Donghyuck clicked his tongue and moved back, he walked back towards his seat, still annoyed that she ignored him.

Fuck I almost killed him. Hana said in her mind. Her heart sank thinking she was turning into a monster. Tears ready to fall. "I hate this." She muttered under her breath.
