I try and sit still as Camila applies the last bit of eyeliner on me. She huffs, and sits on the stool next to mine.

"Okay, so here's the plan," She starts,

"I shouldn't have agreed to this," I say, groaning,

"But this needs to be perfect, "she wines, "but just listen."

I grumble as she continues,

"I'll take him to a bar, I'll disappear for a while, and that's when you'll appear."

"And if he's not interested?" I say, raising an eyebrow.

"He will be," She snaps,

"What if he isn't gay?" I ask, pushing the subject further.

"I asked three other girls to try and distract him, three!"

".."

"I'm just desperate, okay?" Camila says, exasperated. "You know I really don'-"

Her face crumples, and starts wringing her hands.

"Hey, I'm sorry, I'm just, nervous. Listen, it'll work!" I say, trying for a smile,

I want to convince her, even if I can't convince myself.
