"Good morning, Epstein!" Paul chanted as I came into the recording studio.

Another upgrade in clothes sizes later, twenty-six weeks pregnant wasn't looking—or feeling—so hot anymore. The boys had taken to teasing me about it lately, and even though I knew they were all joking, it still sometimes made me upset. They all seemed to know when to stop, though, so in the end I was alright.

The release party for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was a mere two days away and the boys were having a studio day because John had said he had a project he wanted to look at.

"Guess what?" Paul added.

"What's that, Paul?" I responded.

He strode up to me with a smile on his face. "Your little babies," he began. "Are the size of zucchini this week." Then, he opened his suit jacket and reached into a pocket and resurfaced with two zucchini, one from each side. He handed them to John and I. "Isn't that something?"

John looked the piece of food up and down. "How do you know that?"

Paul shrugged. "That's not important. What's important is that your babies are starting to be a normal size and they're healthy!"

"Right," John said slowly, turning the vegetable around in his hands. "Thank you, Paul."

"Now, what's your idea?" George Martin asked, appearing on the left as him and Brian joined us in the room below.

"I'm gonna go sit upstairs," I said to John. "My feet kinda hurt."

"Alright," John responded before bending down kiss me on the head. "Do you need help?"

I shook my head. "I think I'll be alright, thank you," I responded with a smile.

He nodded promptly. Then, patted me on the back. "If you need anything, just give me a shout."

"I sure will," I replied.

George Martin continued to talk to the boys as I made my way upstairs and sat in the same chair I sat in everyday. Brian was sure to follow me back up there as he'd taken to doing every day we were in the studio recently.

"How are you feeling today?" he asked me.

I shrugged. "Same as I was yesterday," I replied with a laugh. "Trixie is coming into town today, so I'm going to go to lunch with her."

"Is that so?" asked Brian with a pleased smile.

I nodded happily. "They came up here to see Seamus's parents," I answered with a laugh.

"Brilliant. What time are you meeting her?"

"Around 12:30," I replied.

"Well, hopefully we'll be put by then. If not, you've got my permission to up and leave." He grinned.

"Oh, alright," I responded with a giggle.

"And, how are the babies?" he asked me next.

"Oh, they're keeping me up at night," I answered bitterly. "And I'm starting to have some contractions. Not real ones of course, but y'know, they're not exactly comfortable."

"But, in general, you feel alright?"

"I suppose so. I guess it could be worse, and I imagine it will be, so I'm trying to appreciate that fact before it does get worse."

"Well, that's a positive outlook," Brian noted with a small smile.

I nodded. "I'm trying out something new," I quipped.
