Prologue: Today
The echoes radiated off the empty walls as a pair of shoes ran to the stairs. Faint voices of pleads filled the stairway, but I kept going. Reaching the roof, I ran to the edge and was stopped just short from falling. The grip on my wrist was tightened and I was spun around.
"What were you about to do!" My reply to them was quick and short.
"Jumping." It felt so casual coming out of my mouth. My voice was flat and cracking as tears rolled down my face. Seconds passed by and soon I felt a pair of arms wrap around me, but none I know.
"Why would you ever do that." Those words rang through my ears as I broke down, remembering the months before this.
Chapter 1: First taste
The sound of my alarm rang in my ears as I slowly woke up. I look at the clock as it read 5:30am. I sighed and rolled off my bed, grabbing random clothes to wear. I turned on my shower, watching the diamond beads stream from its faucet as I undressed and walked in. The pressure on my skin felt as if I was being massaged as I washed all my filth away from the day before. As I rinsed and dried off I head back to my room and put on my clothing.
"I think I liked you better without the clothes." A smile spread across my face as I turned around to see the boy in my bed.
"Well if you don't hurry we'll be late for school," I remind him. He sighs and finally gets out of the bed. He smirks at me as he slowly walks to the bathroom.
"You're no fun Cy," he says in a little kid tone. I stopped him before he could enter the room.
"So we didn't have fun last night," I say seductively. A deep red blush spread across his face as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "I guess we'll just never do it again."
"No wait! I didn't mean it," he whines, giving puppy dog eyes in the process.
Alright fine but you gotta get ready right now." I've never seen the boy run so quick. I smile and shake my head as I lay back on my bed and turn on my tv. I heard my door knob turn and then a body entered my room. It was my mom.
"Cyrus are you ready," she said, standing in the door way.
"Yes mother, just waiting on Jake," I replied.
"Oh mijo, you're such a good friend to your amigos!" She embraces me in a tight hug before continuing. "Breakfast is downstairs and ready. I'll be gone on my trip by 3:00 when you get home and won't return for a month. Are you sure you're gonna be ok alone?"
"Yes mom," I replied. "Jake will be here and Vick isn't going anywhere so I'll be fine."
"Ok mijo, try not to torch the house down kay?" I nod my head and she leaves. As soon as my door closes arms wrap around my waist and the scent of men's body wash fills my nose.
"So, I'm staying for a month," Jake asks, nuzzling his face into my neck.
"Would you rather be miserable at your house alone without me or cuddling together here in my bed," I replied slyly, already knowing the answer.
"I would trade the world just to spend time with you babe." I feel Jake's lips travel up my neck to my cheek and finally my lips, pausing for a few seconds.
"Ok we gotta go or we'll be late," I remind him, earning another sigh in return.
"Fine, go get Vick and we'll go," he says, walking to the closest to search for a sweater and shoes. I walked down to Vick's room only to be grabbed and slammed into a wall. Two arms pin me down as I look into the eyes of my roommate.
"Hey baby, what's shaking?" I roll my eyes as Vick tries to flirt with me. He begins to lean in only for me to hold my hand to his chest to block him.
"Jake is right down the hall ya know," I remind him, only to have his hands go down in my jeans and grab my ass.
"You should've heard about what happened last night." I was confused. Everything was quiet last night, despite what Jake and I had done.
"What are you talking about Vick?" Before he could answer however, Jake ran through my doorway fully dressed and ready to go. I could feel Vick's hands leave my pants quickly.
"Hey babe I'm ready to go," Jake said, smiling as he caught his breath. "You ready Vick?"
"Yeah, let me just grab my backpack and we'll go." And with that he walked back into his room. As I watched him leave he gave me a sly wink and gestured for me to keep quiet about what he said. I froze in utter disbelief and confusion until a pair of lips were placed on mine."What's wrong babe," Jake asked. I shook my head and smiled.
"It's nothing, trust me." After I said that Vick had came out of his room.
"All good, lets go." We finally left after a minute of awkward silence. I could tell something was up, but shrugged it off as we exited the house.
