(Y/N) had managed to reach the office perfectly fine without running over anyone, the pain hadn't subsided, but she had practiced hiding it in the mirror before setting out.

She wore a pair of loose jeans and a hoodie to cover the marks on her skin and marks on her wrists from where Taehyung's bandanna was wrapped around.

She walked into the building, greeted by familiar faces who took not notice of her awkward steps.

Once she was in the lone elevator, she slumped her shoulders, heaved a sigh and leaned against the cold mirrored walls as she waited to reach the conference floor.

The elevator dinged and the doors finally opened revealing a short hallway with a large double door on the end.

She walked down the length of the room, pushed the doors open and stepped into the warm office where she saw her manager, the company chairman and Mr James Hwang locked in a discussion.

"Ah! (Y/N) come in and take a seat." The chairman ushered.

"Am I late?" She asked, confused as to why they had all been gathered already. Haneul said 2 pm and the last time she checked in the elevator, it was just 1:23 pm.

"Not at all." The chairman laughed, "Mr Hwang got here early for a tour of the building." He explained.

(Y/N) nodded, looking at Haneul who made an apologetic face causing (Y/N) to crinkle her brows. Mr Hwang cleared his throat and sat up.

"Do I break the news or are you going to?" Mr Hwang asked, still as proud as ever.

"What is he talking about?" (Y/N) wondered.

"Well, within the early hours of today our company finalized the partnership agreement with Mr Hwang's company." The chairman disclosed, a small frown on his slightly wrinkled face.

"I see, why do you both seem unhappy?" (Y/N) asked looking between Haneul and the chairman.

"In the details of the contract, Mr Hwang's company requested for an exchange; in return for his investment, you now work for his company, Epiphany." The chairman ended, remorseful of the decision.

"Don't I have a say in this?" (Y/N) queried bewildered at the agreement that was made in her absence.

"Not really." James Hwang shot a smirk in her direction.

"I'm sorry, Miss (Y/N), but the board already agreed." The chairman sighed. (Y/N) looked over to Haneul who was also sad at the decision.

"I can't believe this!" (Y/N) rose from her seat abruptly, ready to storm out of the room, but suddenly the room began to darken, her vision blurred and the walls twisting and turning.

She found herself falling to the ground and her eyes shutting, she could only faintly make out Haneul's voice calling out her name before she slipped into a state of unconsciousness.

(FLASHBACK)

"I'm so glad you could make it." (Y/N) smiled at the man whose features were hidden by the black bucket hat and nose mask.

He held the door open allowing her to walk into the house.

"To be honest, I really didn't think you'd call me." She confessed truthfully with a blush on her cheeks.

"I was just waiting for the right time." He laughed locking the door behind him and pulling the mask down to his chin.

Her blushed deepened, she still couldn't wrap her head around the fact that she was standing before the one and only Jung Hoseok.
