(Y/N) heaved a sigh of relief as she settled in the lonely elevator. She was currently on her way to the chairman of her company's office.
As the elevator travelled, (Y/N) rested her back against the cool wall of the enclosure and slid down so she was sat on the floor with her head buried in her hands.
The tears which she had fought back returned to her tired eyes as she thought of what happened before she had arrived at the company.
(FLASHBACK)
"We need to end this." Hoseok's first words since she had entered the room hit her like a ton of bricks. He was right and she knew it, but making a decision would be hard.
"Fine!" She didn't mean to yell, but the feelings had overwhelmed her completely.
The uncomfortable silence that followed was horrifying and the tension so thick, you could cut it with a knife.
"I choose..."
*Ring*
*Ring*
Her words were cut off by the vibrating device in her pocket. She fished the object out and held it up to her eyes whose vision blurred due to the tears.
Her manager was calling, she looked over at the expectant men, "Answer it, it could be important." Jin suggested with a small smile, hoping to relieve the thick atmosphere.
She nodded and clicked the green icon to receive the call.
A few 'I understand's and 'yes's later, (Y/N) lowered her phone from her ear and licked her dry lips' "The chairman of my company wants to see me urgently." She told.
The seven men were silent for a few seconds, "Go meet him." Namjoon said, the frown never leaving his face.
"You can take my car." Yoongi offered, handing her his keys which he swiped from the coffee table as he ignored the glares shot at him.
(Y/N) didn't need to be told twice. She took the keys and hurried down the stairs squeezing between the men who didn't move an inch from their positions even as she left the house.
She didn't bother about her appearance, the primary goal was to leave the environment to somewhere–anywhere else.
Everything after that, from pulling out of the driveway to driving down to the company was a blur.
The elevator dinged bringing her out her thoughts. She quickly rose to her feet and dusted the sweatpants off as she prepared to meet the chairman.
The doors opened allowing her walk into the room where the middle aged chairman sat at his desk.
"(Y/N), please come in." He welcomed with a wide smile, (Y/N) wished she could smile back as widely, but due to certain circumstances she could only give a weak smile in return.
He gestured to one of the empty seat in front of his oak desk.
"Haneul-ssi said you wanted to see me." She said wearily as she settled into the chair.
"Yes, how are you feeling? I recall you fainting in my office. I apologize for not checking in on you earlier." The chairman uttered.
"Oh, I feel much better now. I went to a doctor who said I was stressed out and only required some rest." She explained, fiddling with the material of her borrowed shirt.
"I'll make this quick so you can go home and rest then." He pulled out a piece of paper from a brown folder and placed it in front of her with a black pen.
"I laid a complaint to the board of directors about your unfair transfer and after much persuasion, they agreed to talk to Mr Hwang about a different exchange." He began, (Y/N) felt her heart leap in joy at the information.
"I just received a call and they were able to change his mind to accept shares in the company instead; he's angry, but he has accepted our terms." (Y/N) felt the smile return to her lips as she forgot momentarily about the previous happenings.
This was the first good news she had gotten all day and her heart was thankful for it.
"Thank you so much, sir." She appreciated sincerely.
"All you have to do is sign another year of contract with our company." (Y/N) hurriedly took the pen and signed the white paper.
The chairman smiled and enveloped the signed paper then bade her farewell.
For the second time that day, the drive to her home was a blur to her as she parked the car and entered her empty house.
The silence allowed her space to finally think.
Her choice.
Even if she were to decide, who would she choose?
Who was she going to choose back at Yoongi's house?
Somehow, she always knew that they were in love with her, but she hoped eventually she'd just start dating the one she truly loved.
She climbed into bed, too upset to even eat as she pondered.
She could remember the first time she knew he was the one.
