I got up feeling more awake than usual so I got dressed as fast as I could. I ate breakfast and did everything else that I needed to do before leaving. I slipped out of the house and headed for school, as usual I caught up to Cassy, Sam and Tucker. "Morning Danny." Tucker greeted me. "Wow Danny, you look more awake than usual, did someone knock you out or something?" Sam asked a little curious. "Naw, I just wanted to get more sleep so I could be able to do something nice after school that's all." I smiled. "And what's that?" Sam and Tucker asked me at the same time. "I just wanted to take Cassy somewhere. Sorry, it's a surprise." I said knowing if I told them Cassy would over hear. "Ok Danny." Tucker said. "Whatever you say Danny, whatever you say." Sam finished. Cassandra starts to giggle. "What's so funny?" I asked her. "Oh nothing you need to worry your little head about." She giggled like any other girl would when they didn't want guys to know what they were up to. "Girls, you'll never fully understand them." Tucker and I said together. The girls started to laugh when they heard this. As soon as the four of us got to school and put the things we didn't need away, we waved to each other and went our separate ways.
At lunch we all talked about what went on in our day so far. We all had different things to tell, although we had to end our stories and go back to class as soon as the bell rung.
Cassandra's POV
After school I went to meet up with Danny since he passed a note to me in class saying, "Meet me outside after school by the tree near the gym." I went to the exact spot where Danny told me to meet him at. When I got there I saw Danny, but he was in his ghost form. I tried to figure out the place he was going to take me that involved flying. "There you are Cassy, you ready to go?" Danny asked with a grin on his face. "Yeah, but where would you take me while you're in your ghost form?" I asked curiously. "I just thought it might be more fun if I flew you there. I know you could fly by yourself, but I want you to be able to enjoy it more." Danny explained so romantically. "Oh." I blushed as I let him pick me up off the ground into his loving arms. Danny picked me up then started to kick off the ground to fly.
I watched trees and houses pass below us as Danny flew to where ever he was taking me. Danny never actually told me where we were going, but I had a feeling that I was going to love it anyways. During the flight, Danny was telling me story pieces about our past together. I had a feeling that the place Danny was taking me to had something to do with our past since he had been weaving around that part of the stories. "Ok Cassy, I want you to close your eyes and keep them closed til' I tell you to can look." Danny told me as he closed my eyes. "Ok, but I don't really see what good it'll do me since I'm not the one actually walking." I said with a laugh and a smile. "Just keep your eyes closed Cassy and then you'll see why." He repeated once again. I sighed and did what I was told. It had only just been a few minutes and I was already bored of the darkness. "Danny, how much longer am I going to be blind?" I asked him while making a little joke out of it. "Just another minute or so." He said.
A minute or so later, Danny cleared his throat. "Alright, now you can open your eyes Cassy." He told me as I opened my eyes. When I opened my eyes I saw a beautiful meadow filled with flowers, trees and all sorts of other things as well. "Wow." That was all I could really manage to say about the meadow. "I take it that you like it?" Danny asked while grinning at me. I only nodded in amazement. A moment later Danny put me back on my feet. For a few minutes I walked around the small meadow aimlessly just staring in awe at the plants, flowers, and trees. I didn't notice it, but Danny had laid on the grass in the middle of the meadow. I assume that he must have wanted me to join him. "So Danny, how long were you planning for us to stay here?" I asked curiously as I laid down next to him. "I dunno, I guess as long as you want to stay here." He answered. "Do you think we can stay about two hours so we don't end up staying longer than we should?" I suggested. "Sure, why not." Danny agreed as he set his alarm on his cell phone for two hours. Danny and I started to talk for a while as we laid on the soft green grass while watching the clouds go by.
I started to get a little sleepy and I struggled to stay awake. As I fought to keep my eyes open I noticed that Danny had already lost his fight. Instead of fighting to stay awake, I surrendered and just curled up on Danny who was a comfy pillow and warm as a blanket. I started to wake up. The last thing I knew was that I was talking to Danny then we both fell asleep. I pulled up my head and opened my eyes a little, but I laid back as sleep pulled me down again.
Danny's POV
I was laying on the green grass with Cassy, we were just talking and watching the clouds when I fell asleep. I never noticed how tired I was even though I had went to bed early last night. A few minutes later the alarm on my cell phone went off, I had almost forgotten that I had set it to go off in two hours which had already passed. Cassy hadn't woken up yet so I just decided to pick her up and fly us home. When I finally reached her house, I knocked on the door and waited. Sam opened the door. "Hey Danny, I had a feeling she was with you." Sam answered as she saw Cassy sleeping in my arms. "Yea, sorry I didn't get to tell you she was coming with me for a while." I apologized. "So, where did you guys go?" She asked. "Eh, no where special really." I kinda lied to her while shrugging my shoulders lightly. "Oh, well anyways see you later Danny." Sam said as she took Cassy from me. "Alright bye." I said as I waved to them. I walked back to my house in a dazed happiness I couldn't explain. I couldn't think of anything that could possibly ruin this moment except for maybe one thing.
My ghost sense goes off. "Oh boy, now what?" I wonder aloud. "I am the Boxghost, fear my wrath of uh, unsharpened pencils!" He shouted. "I'm going ghost!" I yelled. I transform and then zap the pencils with my ghost ray. "Uh, I am the Boxghost. Beware!" The boxghost shouted as he disappeared. "Looks likes that's taken care of." I said as I turned back to my human half.
