Old times and new beginnings

After school we all went our separate ways home, except for me and Cassy. I decided to take her on a walk. "Cassy, can I talk to you about something? I asked the shy feeling starting to take over. "Sure Danny." She smiled taking my hand in hers. I blushed slightly at this. "You know how we're always spending time together now?" I asked feeling a knot begin to form in my throat. "Yeah, what about it?" Cassy asked back. "Does that mean we're a couple now?" I asked bracing for the impact. I waited for the hurt, the pain, and the sorrow, but it never came. Cassy giggled and smiled. Well that went better than expected. She kissed me on the cheek. "If that's the way you want it to be." She smiled taking my hand in hers. "Haha, ok you got me." I laughed picking Cassy up and spinning her around then setting her back on her feet. I leaned in and pecked her on the lips and just held her in my arms. I whispered to her saying I love you and she awed and said it back.
