Chapter I the void
Emptiness. The emptiness of space sends shivers down my spine .
The earth was destroyed by pollution a year ago
causing the earth to turn gray .
Our mission is kind of
simple but hard to accomplish.
We find a planet, explore the planet, evaluate and rate the planet, and if the variables work in our favor then we might eventually inhabit the planet.
Only some of the world's population made it on the 3 "charter" ships .
Our team on the RIG have been hard at work trying to find a new planet that has to have oxygen.
My name is Charlie .I am the lieutenant of the RIG.
I have black hair and green eyes.We all wear our standard
space suits with communication chips installed and an
extra breathing system for exploring planets that have little
to no oxygen available.The suits also have a micro
chainmail armor built in that serves as protection.Weapons
and ammunition are at an all time low at this year so
scientists have discovered a new way to use plutonium.
The plutonium serves as a power source for "proton blasters".
These do less damage but are pretty useful for a protection source.
The proton blasters have 2 settings on them .
One of those settings is stun and it just knocks one out.
The other setting ,when shot at ,turns all of your internal organs into ash .
We try not to use that setting and we only use it when necessary
Our crew on the RIG consists of 7 crew members.
I have 2 very good friends on my crew.They are Jacob and Lewis .
Lewis has darker skin and short black curly hair.He is a
a very funny guy and his humor is the best kind of humor.
Jacob however is my best friend . He is the second in
command on the RIG .He has semi-long brown hair and he
has hazel brown eyes.He is a caring friend and he always puts others first.
There is also captain Peter Shiller . He is a grumpy person
that is sometimes reckless and risky .
He has blonde hair ,
sideburns, and green eyes .But he is in charge and we have to show respect.
We got off the RIG to explore a planet called radon.
As we landed on radon ,I could feel my heart racing .
This would be the first time I stepped foot on a planet
besides earth . The doors opened and a gust of wind
nearly knocked me down .
It was chilling and the air didn't feel right in my lungs.
