It was dark by the time we arrived at the party and found a park amongst the other hundred cars parked outside Sophie the Slut's house.
Lexie parked the car behind a black Nissan skyline with red rims. I sighed and Lexie looked over at me.
"Look, I know you've got a few things on your mind, but I think this is exactly what you need right now, okay" she said rubbing my shoulder, pushing a smile.
"Okay, I'll try and enjoy the party, for you" I said smiling back at her.
We got out of the car and started walking towards the house. You're going to have fun, just have a couple beers, few hours tops. I repeated in my head. I put my hands in my back pockets as Lexie and I walked through the house and out into the back yard.
I looked around and so far I'd seen half the party either to drunk to walk straight or making out with their enemies. I found the drinks table and asked Lexie if she wanted one.
"Just a coke thanks" she said modestly
"Okay, wait here" I said walking off and leaving her there.
I grabbed a cup from the pile and poured Lexie's coke, I grabbed myself a beer from the ice bucket. I grabbed the bottle opener that was laying on the table and popped the cap off.
I walked back over to Lexie who was still standing in the same spot. I gave her her cup and took a sip of my beer.
"Should you be drinking that?" she asked raising her eyebrows at me.
"Careful or I will my shoe at you again" I said smirking at her.
Suddenly the lights went down and everything was dark. Everyone stopped talking and started muttering under their breaths.
"What's going on?" I asked leaning into her slightly.
"I dont know" she said softly. Suddenly there was a blinding light coming from what looked like a stage. Loud music started blaring from big speakers stationed at the side of the stage. As my ears adjusted to the loud music, I noticed four young boys standing on the stage.
It also didn't take long before I realised that the loud music was coming from the boy's who all had their own instrument.
The one in the back was sitting behind a drum kit. The boy in the middle had a guitar.
The boy who stood of the right was holding what looked like the bass guitar and the other boy was...
"O my god!" I exclaimed
"What?" Lexie said, her eyes wide.
"You see the boy standing of to the left?" I said pointing in his direction.
"Yeah" she said simply
"That's the...the guy" I spat out.
"Oh the graveyard boy, hot" she said making a sizzeling sound. I sighed at what she called him and punched her in the arm.
"Oww!" she squealed rubbing her arm. I smiled at her. "Come on" she said, grabbing my hand and yanking me towards the front of the stage, right in front of the boy.
"Lexie!" I said try to make her let go of my hand. I watched the boy play his guitar and sing, I watched as he let himself go crazy on the stage. Until he looked down and found me.
We locked eyes and he smiled, clearing happy to see me again. I was completely speechless, I didn't know what to. I panicked and remembered that I had a drink in my hand.
I looked away and took a big mouthful and tried my hardest not to look at him again.
I failed miserably.
