Thank you for your patience! I had a rough time writing this chapter. I have no one or nothing to blame for it other than myself due to how high of a standard I put myself in.
At the end of the day, I'll just do my best.
But still, please enjoy it!

Quillana's heart was beating hard and fast, like a drummer amped up on adrenaline ready to double pedal his way out of a rock concert. It didn't help as Aiden had her pinned to the door with a hand over her mouth. They were too close for comfort and could feel each other's warmth.
They stayed in absolute silence for a beat or two until someone knocked on the door.
"Quillana, are you okay? I heard you yell." A concerned female dorm neighbour asked.
She gently wrapped her fingers around Aiden's hand and lowered it, freeing her lips. "I-I'm fine, Colette. I was just... watching a movie... that's all." She could only hope her little lie was believable.
"Oh, okay! Don't stay up too late!" Colette retreated to her room with quiet steps. Once her door was shut, they let out a sigh of relief.
She meekly looked away from Aiden's soft stare and calmly pushed him off.
He cleared his throat before speaking. "Sorry about that. Don't think bad of me."
The situation was intense, but it was quelled in an instant the moment he took a bow. It was sincere.
She frantically waved her arms in front of her. His apologetic gesture was making her blush. "No, please! I didn't mean to yell out like that." She understood it was an honest mistake.
He was not the kind of man that would go perusing in other people's underwear. At least, not back then. If only she had not reacted like that in the first place. "Raise your head. It's my fault too."
Aiden did as he was told yet his eyes never seem to look at her. Was he embarrassed as well?
"Why are you here?" She asked, wanting to ease the tension that swirled in the room. Before he could speak a word, his phone rang. He turned away and answered it.
She could see it was one of the phones given to the course participants. In that instant, she knew he was one of them.
He is a course participant.
"Right, got it. Goodbye." The call was brief. He kept his phone away and scratched the back of his head.
"What's wrong?" She asked, curious by his actions.
"I need to see Selesia in the faculty room early tomorrow."
"Well, you better wash up and get some sleep." It was getting late, and keeping him up any longer would only tire him out.
"Yeah, you're right." He grabbed his sleepwear, which was piled neatly atop of each other in the wardrobe, made his way into the bathroom, and locked it. "Hey," he asked through the closed door. "You wanted to know why I was here, right?"
"It's okay, I can already tell you're a course participant." She took a seat by her study desk and stretched her legs.
To see him again, since high school, was the highest point in her life.
